Bader

Columbus OH 43219

Bader and her siblings came to CDC a little over 3 years ago. She was very shy at first and slowly became a "normal" care. She lets us pet her, hold her, etc. She is very quiet. In Jan 2022 she became quite ill and after multiple test and treatments, the vet was not optimistic about her future thinking that she would be around for only a few more months. At that time, the decision was made to remove her from our list of adoptable cats, and provide supportive care as needed. She seemed to heal and was not behaving ill at all. She continued to be a great cat and in July we repeated labwork and her results and prognosis per the veterinarian are as follows: "Her bloodwork overall looks great. She has a mild (but improved) no - regenerative anemia. We don’t have an answer why, but it is abnormal. But still so much improved! I would just recommend that adopters have annual bloodwork performed to monitor her RBC and kidney values. Non- regenerative means the cat has a persistent mild anemia and we don’t have a reason/diagnosis. It’s improved and she’s doing very well" She is a sweet cat and we don't see any reason to deny her the opportunity to find a forever home.
