Meet Bellah! This sweet girl is ready to find her forever home! Bellah came to us after her previous owner was no longer able to care for her. A lot of dogs are scared coming into a new place, but Bellah has been friendly and loving since day 1. She’s got the sweetest disposition, and we just love spending time with her and taking her for walks. She does get VERY excited on walks and therefore pulls quite a bit but don’t be fooled! Bellah also has a very high prey drive, which means she's going to chase small animals/dogs. She will need to be in a home that is free of cats and small dogs. Bellah is incredibly smart so working on leash skills should be a breeze with her. Bellah previously lived with children and did wonderful with them. She loves bones and squeaky toys but her greatest love of all. Her human! She just wants to be on your lap giving you kisses. She’s as sweet as can be! Here’s a few facts about our sweet girl, Bellah! Approximate Birth Date - 08/15/2024 Size - Medium (43lbs) Likes - Giving kisses, getting loves and cuddles. Going for long walks and getting to sniff ALL of the things. Chewing her bones and toys. House Training - Bellah does keep her kennel clean with regular walks and we do believe she’s fully house trained! Other dogs - Bellah prefers the company of dogs that are similar in size. She has a very high prey drive, meaning she chases cats or small animals. so small dogs would be a no for her because of this. **In Order to adopt an unspayed/unneutered dog from HSMC, You must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "Foster to Adopt" the dog and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the dog back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay/neuter surgery** Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $21, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
