ABIGAIL (ABBY) DOB: Approx. 08/05/2024 Female, 6.5 lbs. Say hello to the cutest little Cow Kitty (black & White cow markings) ever. This little girl is so petite though full grown physically. She was obviously dumped near a bar in Gahanna when the employees began feeding her as a kitten. She lived under the table outside and waited for the scraps the employees would bring out to her. She lived out under some pine trees near the very busy Agler. In order to survive, she had to stay afraid, be fast, and hide and stay out of sight as much as she could. When the bar owner told his people to stop feeding her because she was a nuisance, they called PetPromise. Worried that since she was 5-6 months old that she could already be pregnant, we went to work and trapped her that day. She was very afraid and scared when we got her to her foster home. She was taken in to the vet two days later and came back spayed (she wasn't pregnant) and still afraid. But by day 7 she was purring and rubbing. She likes people and we found that she loves cheek scratches, and back scratches and people A LOT. She is a gentle girl and is in a foster home with a number of other cats and is liked by all and she likes them all. She loves her foster family but can still be started if someone bangs something loud or comes at her too fast (she will duck as if she has been shooed away or hit at.) She is a lovely little girl who will blossom if she gets to be with people all of the time (she is locked upstairs with other foster cats and gets limited attention even though she would love to have much more.) She is still a baby and will be the perfect girl to add to your family if you will commit to care for her and love her for the next 15-20 years! ---- If you are interested in learning more about this sweet kitty, please complete an online adoption application at https://form.jotform.com/251950332045046 We do not have a shelter or sanctuary. All pets are cared for in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. We require a home visit as part of the application process. We are only able to coordinate home visits where we have local volunteers. All of the cats in our care and available for adoption have been rescued from shelters, the streets or from neglect or abuse situations. We do our best to determine the given breed or breeds of any cat or kitten in our program based on our experience and advice of professionals.
