OLIVE DOB: Approx. 11/15/24 Female, 8 lbs. Olive was a community cat that grew up in a neighborhood near Newark where she was fed by the neighbors, played with by the children in the neighborhood, but who was never taken in and made a part of a family. She was always just the neighborhood cat. She is the sweetest and friendliest little girl, barely more than a kitten herself when she had her four babies: Hunter, Sage, Jade and Forrest. She protected those babies and hid them under the deck of one of the homes and brought them out to show to everyone once they were old enough to be carried out from under the deck. PetPromise picked Olive and the babies up with the hope that all of these sweet kitties would have the chance to have homes and families of their own and not just be a “neighborhood cat.” Olive is the sweetest girl. She takes such good care of her babies but she adores people and attention. She loves being inside and will jump up to be with you and watch television in your lap to make sure that you wont leave her. All pets are cared for in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. We require a home visit as part of the application process. We are only able to coordinate home visits where we have local volunteers. All of the cats in our care and available for adoption have been rescued from shelters, the streets or from neglect or abuse situations. We do our best to determine the given breed or breeds of any cat or kitten in our program based on our experience and advice of professionals.
