Mateo was found in very bad shape under a car in a parking lot. He was extremely thin and had an upper respiratory infection. He has received a full mouth extraction/dental; neutered; vaccinated; and ready for a new family. Mateo tested positive for FIV or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. Don’t let that scare you. With proper nutrition and veterinary care, FIV positive cats live a long, healthy life like any normal cat. FIV is also very hard to transmit to other kitties and can only be passed through a deep bite wound. As long as the cats in the home get along, Mateo is totally fine to live with FIV negative cats! He is a friendly and confident guy. He gets along with most cats but can sometimes be a little pushy. He will make a great companion in a home where he will get lots of attention. He is about 4 years old and has a very cute personality. He acts like he is so happy about everything, like a kid in a candy shop. He walks around the office like he's the mayor, greeting everyone. He just seems to be happy and grateful that he is loved, has food everyday, and is no longer in pain. He has made quite a transformation.
