Sitting right in front of you, soaking up belly rubs and head scratches like it’s his job (and frankly, he’s excellent at it). While he’s still working on his leash manners, this handsome boy is sharp as a tack and eager to learn. With a little guidance, he'll be a pro in no time. Other dogs - When it comes to other dogs, Dewey is something of a social bulldozer. friendly, yes, but lacking all sense of personal space or subtlety. We’re still testing his dog-to-dog manners, but let’s just say… he’s enthusiastic. **In Order to adopt an unspayed/unneutered dog from HSMC, You must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "Foster to Adopt" the dog and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the dog back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay/neuter surgery** Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $21, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
