Hans

West Jefferson OH 43162

** In order to adopt a kitten from HSMC, you must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "foster to adopt" the kitten and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the kitten back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay/neuter surgery** This mini cow cat is the sweet as can be, Hans. Hans' mom came to us VERY pregnant and gave birth to her babies in a foster home on 4/30/25, so he's 14 weeks old. Hans and his brother Franz and sister Evie all still reside in their foster home, and their foster mom says that they are just the best babies ever. Hans is the most quiet of the three siblings and he really relies on Franz and Evie to keep him out of his shell. Hans loves nothing more than wrestling and climbing up a storm with his siblings and then cuddling up with them for a nice, long nap. Their favorite napping spots are the window perches in their foster home. They live with several large, resident kitties, and they get along great with all of them. These boujee babies have requested that their forever home have a window perch for them so that they may continue their hobby of bird watching and napping in the warm sunshine. They are also big climbers and have been climbing cat trees and towers since they were little, and they have a blast on them. They have requested cat trees of their very own in their forever homes too. They are also champion litter box users and cat scrather users! And when we say boujee, we mean it. These guys are well, a little spoiled, but with faces like theirs, it's hard to say no! Their foster mom says that they have great appetites when it comes to canned food, but that they will sometimes snub dry food. For now, their predominant diet is canned food with some dry mixed in, twice a day. They will likely eventually adapt to eating more dry food, but for now, they simply aren't fans. These littles have been around a lot of other cats since they were tiny and they will benefit GREATLY from being adopted together, in pairs or with another HSMC kitten. Kittens adopted in pairs do better long term, are happier and have less long term behavioral issues. Plus no one can play with a kitten the way another kitten can! Single kitten sydndrome is a real thing, and no one wants a kittenzilla in their home! Being so young, this cutie would do just fine in a home with other kitties or with cat-friendly dogs. Of course care must be taken to protect his small size. It's imperative to keep this little cutie from getting stepped on, injured by larger animals, or by small children who may be unintentionally rough with him. Would you like to meet the sweet as can be Hans, and hopefully a sibling or other kitten as well? If so, please fill out an application and schedule a meet and greet once your application is approved! Remember that this sweet group resides in a foster home and is not at the shelter, so a meet and greet must be scheduled.
