Mindy

Mansfield OH 44906

Mindy was brought to the shelter along with her brother, Mork. They are about 3 months old. While they are siblings, Mindy has made it clear she prefers her own space, so she and Mork have separate cages. We put them together to play, but Mindy will let us know when she is ready for some alone time. She loves people though! Mindy is always rubbing against her cage bars and begging for attention. Both Mindy and Mork did test positive for Felv, which is a virus in cats that can greatly shorten their lives. It does not require any medication and as long as she is kept indoors and healthy, Mindy can still live out a happy and healthy life! With her being so young, there is a chance that she is not actually positive for Felv, as antibodies from her mom could still be in her system. Our vet recommends she be retested in 6 months, which the shelter would be more than happy to do the test at no additional cost. Because of this, Mindy needs to be adopted to a home with no other cats until we know for sure whether she is positive for Felv (dogs and children would be fine!). Mindy is hoping a to find a special family as soon as possible!
