Meet Sweet Bebe – A Gentle Soul with a Heart of Gold ? Bebe’s story nearly ended too soon. She was placed on the euthanasia list at the Dallas shelter—not because of her behavior, but simply because she was heartworm positive and the shelter had run out of space. But thanks to the kindness of rescuers and a second chance at life, Bebe has made a beautiful transformation. Today, she’s heartworm-free, fully vetted, spayed, and ready to find the loving home she so deserves. Approximately 3 years old, Bebe is a Husky mix with a much more mellow vibe than the typical Husky. She’s soft, sweet, and soulful—more of a gentle couch companion than a high-energy adventurer. She loves leisurely walks, quiet time by your side, and will happily melt into your hands for ear and back rubs once she trusts you. When Bebe first arrived in foster care, she was scared and shut down—too frightened to even leave her crate. But with patience and love, she has blossomed. Now, she greets her foster with sweet hugs and gentle kisses, a daily reminder of how far she’s come and how deeply she’s capable of loving. She gets along beautifully with other medium to large dogs, both male and female, and would thrive with a calm, confident doggy companion—but she’s also content being the only pup in the home as long as she has her people. She hasn’t been tested with small dogs or cats, but with proper introductions and a dog-savvy cat, she may do well. She also does wonderfully with adults and respectful, school-aged children who understand her shy, gentle nature. Bebe’s ideal home: A calm, patient household—whether that’s a family, couple, or single person—where she can continue building trust and confidence. A fenced yard is a bonus, but not required if she’s getting regular walks and enrichment.
