Meet Happy Meet Happy Happy’s the kind of hound dog who knows how to live the good life. Sweet, snuggly, and always down for a quality butt scratch. He’s great with other dogs, house trained, and crate trained. Basically, he’s got his life together. Like any self-respecting hound, Happy’s got a bit of a thoughtful side. He doesn’t rush into friendships, but give him a couple of meet and greets and he’ll be your shadow. Once you're in, you're in for good. Other dogs - Happy has met a few other dogs here at the shelter and did wonderful! **In Order to adopt an unspayed/unneutered dog from HSMC, You must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "Foster to Adopt" the dog and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the dog back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay/neuter surgery** Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $21, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
