Meet CHUVY – The Sweet Boy with the Tough-Guy Face! Don’t let his serious face fool you—Chuvy is a total softie at heart! This stunning 55lb Husky mix was found as a stray in Dallas and ended up on the euthanasia list at a high-kill shelter simply due to overcrowding. Thankfully, he was saved just in time and is now thriving in foster care, waiting for his forever family to find him. Chuvy is estimated to be around 2 to 2.5 years old, and he’s already neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on all vaccinations. He’s crate trained, potty trained, and rides like a pro in the car. Whether it’s a trip to the park or a quick run to the drive-thru, he’s just happy to be along for the ride! Chuvy is dog-friendly with both males and females, especially medium to large dogs. He hasn’t had much exposure to small or toy-sized pups yet, but he’s shown nothing but good manners with the dogs he’s met. He’s also great with people—men, women, and children alike—and loves being part of the action. This boy lives for a good scratch—ears, belly, backside—you name it! He’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate. Despite his “grumpy” expression, he’s pure love on the inside and just wants to be near his people. Chuvy knows several commands, including “sit,” “come,” “heel” (for leash walking), and “gentle” or “nice” when taking treats. He’s a smart cookie who thrives with attention and inclusion in daily life. Whether you’re a single person, a couple, or a family with kids, Chuvy is ready to join your crew and be your loyal, loving buddy. This dainty, darling guy is ready to leave his rough past behind and start a new chapter—could it be with you? Chuvy is currently being fostered in Texas but available to transport to approved adopter in the Midwest, Northeast and Canada. Adoption fee includes vaccinations, Spay/Neuter, microchip, deworming, heartworm test, transport and vet/documentation requirements in preparation for transport.
