Meet Shirley Temple – as sweet and soulful as her name suggests! She is a 4 year-old pittie mix weighing in at 55lbs and is pure love in dog form. Shirley came from heartbreaking circumstances — rescued from a horrific cruelty case where she was found locked in a crate with another dog, surrounded by filth and deprived of food and clean water. But you’d never know it from her spirit. Despite it all, Shirley is full of love, trust, and resilience. Shirley is truly exceptional with people and absolutely adores children — she’s fostered with a 3-year-old and is nothing short of perfect with him. Gentle, affectionate, and endlessly patient, she makes a phenomenal family companion. She gets along very well with other dogs but would shine brightest as the one and only pup in the home — she’s waited so long for her moment in the spotlight and deserves to soak up every ounce of love and attention. She’s fully potty trained and finds great comfort in her crate — it’s her safe space, and she enjoys curling up in it for naps and quiet time. She’s also fantastic in the car, making her a great sidekick for any adventure. Shirley Temple is a shining example of grace after hardship. She’s looking for a home that will cherish her as much as she’ll cherish you. She has successfully completed heartworm treatment (hence, the two shaved spots on her back where she received injections). Yet another hardship that she overcame with nothing but grace and love.
