Meet Dopey, one of seven adorable pups born to our sweet mama Nala, who decided to make her grand entrance into motherhood right at our local animal control. Dopey is almost 8 weeks old, weighs in at 11 pounds, and is officially ready to trade in his siblings for a forever family of his very own. Mama is a lovely Basenji mix, and dad… well, he’s a mystery. Could be a neighbor’s dog, could be a charming stranger just passing through – we’ll never know. What we do know is that Dopey inherited all the cuteness and charisma needed to melt your heart on sight. He’s been raised with his brothers and sisters, so he’s got his puppy play skills down to an art. His absolute favorite thing? Playing in water – whether it’s splashing in a kiddie pool or pawing at his water bowl, this boy is all about the wet and wild life.
