Boomer is a 1-year-old Standard Poodle who came to Stop the Suffering after his elderly owner sadly passed away. This sweet boy is housebroken and walks nicely on a leash, a real gentleman on strolls. Because Boomer wasn't exposed to much in his early life, the world can feel like a big, scary place to him. He can be fearful and timid at first, especially around new people and other dogs. But with slow introductions, patience, and a calm presence, Boomer begins to open up and once he does, he truly blossoms. He's affectionate, loving, and just wants to feel safe and connected. Boomer would thrive in a quiet, stable home with adults or older children who understand that he needs time and space to build trust.
