Jennifer
Young • Female • Medium
Female Tuxedo • 10 months old Jennifer came from a residential area that was overrun with stray adult cats and kittens. They were being fed by a resident and the his neighbors were so upset with the volume of strays that they began poisoning them. We found a few deceased, few gasping their last breaths, and many disappeared (we are guessing they went off to die). The rest of the kittens have been rescued and are in foster care, the adult cats remaining have been trapped, spayed/neutered, and released back. The cats in our care are healthy, vaccinated and spayed/neutered. Jennifer is the intellectual of the litter — a funny, sweet girl with the perfect balance of introvert and extrovert. She’s independent and content on her own, but also loves to play, cuddle, and nap with her siblings. When she’s tired, she’ll seek out snuggles — sometimes with her humans, sometimes with a sibling. You can almost see the wheels turning in her head as she thinks things through situations. Her latest game? Tossing toys in the air and chasing them around by herself! While her foster mom works on the computer, Jennifer loves to hop up, inspect the screen, then curl up and gently lean in for forehead kisses. She even softly touches your face with her paw — it’s her signature move. Jennifer is as clever as she is cuddly — the perfect blend of brains and sweetness. She is litter box trained, spayed, current on vaccines, and open to being held briefly. She gets along well with older cats, too. She is mysterious, the intellectual type who is a great combination of extrovert and introvert. She’s happy to be on her own but loves to play/cuddle/sleep with her siblings. She will, on occasion, cuddle with her human when she's tired. She doesn’t miss much, and you can see the wheels turning in her mind. Very cerebral and sweet. She is litter box trained, has been spayed and current on vaccines, open to being held for short periods. Gets along well with older cats too. If interested, please email Mirna at [email protected] 614-471-9000 Must be 24 or older. Adoptions to Central Ohio homes only. All dogs and cats in the home must be spayed/neutered. Adoption Fee $100.00
Alicia
Young • Female • Medium
Last November we rescued two young cats, Alan and Alicia, from an abusive situation. Alicia was a two month old kitten when her abuse began. She had spine and head trauma, fractured ribs, whiskers pulled, and a broken tail. But she has drastically improved since she’s been in foster care. She’s learned how to jump on and off furniture (her landing needs a little more time). She loves to run but she does fall over when she tries to run too fast. She looks like a little kangaroo, hopping as she’s running. She is the happiest kitten (only about 9-10 months old) and loves to play and cuddle. She’s very, very happy and seems normal otherwise, smart, brave, and alert. She is truly everything that is good in this world. These wonderful cats are truly special. Not only were they able to survive such a horrible beginning but they are forgiving and loving beyond our expectations and hopes. She was named after a very special person that was also a survivor of domestic abuse and she embodies the same forgiving, trusting, and loving spirit even after experiencing the worst that mankind dealt her. She is in a foster home with cats and one small dog. She plays with both. She weighs 5 pounds and will be a small cat. She should go to a home with another playful younger cat. She is a little rock star! If interested, please email Mirna at [email protected] 614-471-9000 Must be 24 or older. Adoptions to Central Ohio homes only. Adult only home. All dogs and cats in the home must be spayed/neutered. Adoption Fee $100.00
