Jordon
Adult • Male • Medium
FIV+DOB: 2/18/2023 Jordon's story begins on the edge of danger: the side of a roaring freeway, where cars blurred past and hope seemed miles away. But this brave tabby held on, determined to survive. Whether he was chasing freedom or simply searching for a soft place to land, fate stepped in when a kind soul spotted him and brought him to safety. Now safe and sound, Jordon is ready for his next chapter-a tale of warmth, adventure, and loyal companionship. He's got the heart of a warrior and the soul of a snuggler. Curious, clever, and courageous, Jordon is the kind of cat who turns ordinary days into epic stories. Looking for a cat with a past as bold as his purr is sweet? Jordon is ready to ride off into the sunset-with you. All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive cats can live normal lives both in quality and duration. They do take special care in terms of monitoring them for signs of infection. FIV can be passed from cat to cat via deep bite wounds, but not from casual contact so positive cats can live with negative cats without the fear of spreading FIV as long as they get along and are spayed/neutered. Wigglypuff
Adult • Male • Medium
Cerebellar Hypoplasia* SPECIAL NEEDS* Looking for the ultimate snugglers? Look no further! Meet Jigglypuff and Wigglypuff, two bonded brothers. Because they are bonded, they come as a set! These two darlings would spend all day in your lap if you let them. Make no mistake though - they love their play time! Their favorite toys are the wand toy and their stationary mechanical toy. Jigglypuff loves other cats and dogs, while Wigglypuff prefers to be left alone by them. They are little purr machines! They love people, and they aren't afraid to show it! Both boys have a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH or Wobble Kitty Syndrome). It is not painful, it does not progress over time, and it does not impact overall health or their lifespan. They are both very severe cases. Neither of them are able to walk, and it is very unlikely they ever will. They are fairly immobile; they usually don't crawl or squirm more than a few feet. They require help eating wet food, frequent baths, and Wigglypuff needs help drinking water. They are good bath takers, and they don't mind being blow-dried. The boys use pee pads instead of a litter box and sometimes make a mess outside the pads. They stay in a play pen overnight and when their foster mom can't watch them. Jigglypuff's hind legs do not function properly. He has been doing hydro and laser therapy to help with range of motion, strength, and comfort. He also does exercises at home with his foster mom twice a day. The vet said there is a small chance that his condition will get better or worse. Wigglypuff has Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease, which means he is prone to UTIs, which can be triggered by stress. Both boys are on a special diet of Hill's Science Diet c/d multicare stress food (both wet and dry food) to help fend off the UTIs, but Wigglypuff may need medications from time to time. They are looking for a person/ people patient, snuggly, and that doesn't mind the extra work! What they take of your time, they make up with love. Because of the level of care these two require, foster-to-adopt would be best. DOB: 5/9/2024 **This cat is currently in a foster home and arrangements can be made for a meeting once you have applied with us. All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV.
