Jigglypuff
Adult • Male • Medium
Cerebellar Hypoplasia * SPECIAL NEEDS* Looking for the ultimate snugglers? Look no further! Meet Jigglypuff and Wigglypuff, two bonded brothers. Because they are bonded, they come as a set! These two darlings would spend all day in your lap if you let them. Make no mistake though - they love their play time! Their favorite toys are the wand toy and their stationary mechanical toy. Jigglypuff loves other cats and dogs, while Wigglypuff prefers to be left alone by them. They are little purr machines! They love people, and they aren't afraid to show it! Both boys have a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH or Wobble Kitty Syndrome). It is not painful, it does not progress over time, and it does not impact overall health or their lifespan. They are both very severe cases. Neither of them are able to walk, and it is very unlikely they ever will. They are fairly immobile; they usually don't crawl or squirm more than a few feet. They require help eating wet food, frequent baths, and Wigglypuff needs help drinking water. They are good bath takers, and they don't mind being blow-dried. The boys use pee pads instead of a litter box and sometimes make a mess outside the pads. They stay in a play pen overnight and when their foster mom can't watch them. Jigglypuff's hind legs do not function properly. He has been doing hydro and laser therapy to help with range of motion, strength, and comfort. He also does exercises at home with his foster mom twice a day. The vet said there is a small chance that his condition will get better or worse. Wigglypuff has Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease, which means he is prone to UTIs, which can be triggered by stress. Both boys are on a special diet of Hill's Science Diet c/d multicare stress food (both wet and dry food) to help fend off the UTIs, but Wigglypuff may need medications from time to time. They are looking for a person/ people patient, snuggly, and that doesn't mind the extra work! What they take of your time, they make up with love. Because of the level of care these two require, foster-to-adopt would be best. Quill
Adult • Male • Medium
DOB: 5/5/2024 They still call me Quill. Black as ink, but no longer brooding in the shadows-I've come out of my shell and have a lot to say. In fact, I'm now the first to greet you (loudly!) when you step into the Juvie Room. You'll hear me before you see me, usually mid-monologue about how breakfast was late or how the crinkle ball rolled under the couch again. I may be one of the older cats in the room, but I hold my own among the chaos of youth. I'm something of a mentor around here-a literary soul in a room full of short stories. I still enjoy a good stretch in a sunbeam and the occasional existential nap, but these days I'm more social, more spirited, and far more likely to demand that elusive chin scratch rather than wait for it. My past? Abandoned like a rough draft no one wanted to finish. But I've revised that chapter. Now, I'm writing a story about second chances, warm laps, and someone who appreciates a cat with depth and opinions. So come sit with me. Let's discuss vinyl records, the magic of moonlight, and whether the feather toy symbolizes hope-or just good cardio. Let's write something beautiful together. - Quill Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Brahms
Adult • Male • Medium
FELV+DOB:7/29/2022 Brahms had such a rough start. He had a family but they moved and couldn't take him so they gave him to another family. Then they discovered they had allergies and couldn't keep him. Not long after coming to us he was diagnosed with fip. Of course he started treatment right away. The meds worked great and he has fully recovered. During post treatment labs he was found to be felv+. What a roller-coaster for this guy. But Brahms is happy, playful, loves attention and would give anything for a home if his own. Brahms, the ebony-hued feline virtuoso, was born on July 29, 2022, and he's ready to compose a symphony of love and warmth in a forever home. His journey to find a family was anything but a simple melody - rescued from the shadows of a euthanasia list, Brahms' life was saved by compassionate hearts who believed in giving every note a chance to be heard. Saved from the brink, Brahms found refuge with individuals whose hearts were bigger than their ability to keep him. Due to allergies, they made the difficult decision to part ways with this furry maestro, opening the door for Brahms to find a home where his love could be fully appreciated. This dapper gentleman is a connoisseur of affection, reveling in the joy that comes with a gentle touch. Are you in search of a cuddle buddy who can turn the simplest moments into a beautiful sonata of companionship? Look no further than Brahms. Visit him today, and let the symphony of his purrs serenade your heart. **This cat is currently in a foster home and arrangements can be made for a meeting once you have applied with us.
