Bagel
Young • Female • Medium
Miss Bagel is a sweet young female dog who is in need of a loving home. Bagel was found in the country after being hit by a car. The sheriffs called us, and when we got there she was walking on her front two legs with her butt in the air, and not putting any weight on the back two legs. She had a very bad broken leg that needed to be amputated. So Bagel is a tripod and adjusting well! She seems to like male dogs. She may be young, but she is very calm and well-behaved. Miss Bagel is an incredibly smart dog who knows how to be gentle. She can be protective of her loved ones, and she is very quiet. Because of this, she would do best in a household where she can be showered with all the love and attention. She has been through a lot and is looking for a home where she can feel safe and secure. She would benefit from a patient owner who will let her take her time opening up. If you feel that you are a good fit for Miss Bagel and you are interested in adopting her, please contact the shelter to set up a visit! Project Freedom Ride: Bagel is currently fostered in Texas but is available for adoption throughout the country thanks to our transport program Bagels's adoption fee is $500 which includes her spay, current vaccinations (rabies, 4 parvo/distemper boosters, and Bordetella), negative heartworm test (if 6+ mths old at transport), negative fecal within 14 days of transport, health certificate within 10-days of transport, registered microchip, and transport costs. As a Project Freedom Ride direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet would take place on a video call (FB Messenger Call, Facetime, Zoom, Etc). Opal
Young • Female • Medium
We were contacted about Opal when she was 7 weeks old. She was very malnourished and needed some TLC to get healthy again. She is good to go now and is looking for her forever home. Opal is a young female dog with an affectionate and playful nature, who is funny, athletic, independent, and loyal. She is a friendly pup with lots of energy, who loves making new friends, both human and canine. She is very curious and smart and is good with other dogs. She would be the perfect addition to an active family that can keep her engaged and provide her with lots of love. She is young and has a lot of love to give. ROXY
Young • Female • Medium
Roxy is all that lab personality packed in a tiny little package! Roxy is so sweet and loving and just full of life. This little girl found herself in a small rural shelter in Georgia and when nobody came for her we stepped in. Project Freedom Ride has a HUGE soft spot for black dogs and lab mixes. Here’s some more about Roxy … AGE: 7-8 Mths WEIGHT: ~ 30lb TRAINING: She is pretty much crate trained. Her current foster is away from home for around 9-9.5 hours daily and returns home to a dry crate. However, we never say 100%. House training is going well with just an occasional dribble. Roxy is very treat motivated which should bode well for additional training. She is currently just working on the basics, like “sit”. She does pretty well until there are a lot of other distractions around her. PERSONALITY: She’s super friendly with everyone she meets, but because of her enthusiasm and zest for life, she likely wouldn't pair well with senior dogs. In our experience most seniors don’t appreciate the energy puppies bring to their environment. ENERGY LEVEL: Roxy is playful and loves to rough house with other dogs but once that’s out of her system she loves a good cuddle. She can be very snuggly when she’s tired. Some of Roxy’s favorites are toys with squeakers and kiddie pools. This girl is all lab in her personality and LOVES water! OTHER PETS: Roxy is dog friendly. She is NOT fostered with cats therefore we will not adopt her to a home with cats. NO CHAIN LINK FENCING: Roxy is a bit of a climber so cannot be placed in a home with a chain link fence. Her curiosity will get the better of her and she will climb. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving running or walking partner who will make every day an adventure—or you’re ready for lots of playtime and training—Roxy just might be your perfect match! Roxy is available for direct adoption via Project Freedom Ride and can be transported to multiple states across the U.S. In Person meet-and-greets are not available through our program as our adoption process takes place virtually. Transport is included in her adoption fee.
