Doc
Baby • Male • Large
Doc is a sweet 12-week-old Great Pyrenees pup, currently weighing around 34 pounds. He’s the perfect mix of playful and mellow—he loves romping around with his brother, but he’s also a total cuddle bug who’s happiest lounging next to his person, soaking up belly rubs. One of Doc’s favorite things is simply following his human around— Whether you're relaxing on the couch or puttering around the yard, Doc will be right by your side. He’s a smart and calm boy who’s catching on quickly with his potty training. Doc would thrive in a loving home ready to give him the time, attention every young pup needs. Because of his breed and size, a secure yard is required for adoption. Doc will not be adopted out as a working or livestock guardian dog—he’s looking for a life as a cherished companion. Doc is being fostered in Austin, TX but we can have her brought to OH on rescue transport-transportation. His fee is $400 -$30 per dog for a health certificate and $250 per dog for transport. Sadie
Adult • Female • Large
To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application!FENCED YARD NEEDED Sadie is a pretty 6-year-old collie who has quickly adjusted to life at her foster home. Inside, she's calm and mellow, though her favorite pastime is gazing out the windows, where she may get a bit excited by the sights she sees. She enjoys being close to her humans but is also happy to observe from a distance. She is learning commands and understands "no" but still needs a treat to reliably come when called. She will thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard. While she's only been with her foster family for a short time, we're already seeing great progress. Sadie had an unfortunate run-in with a car as a youngster, but other than being a bit slower to get up, you wouldn't notice. She walks politely on a leash and enjoys walks, but she would not be a good candidate for long walks or runs. She's a happy girl, wags her tail often and tells her humans she needs to go out by coming up to them and barking. She barks with interest as she approaches other dogs in the neighborhood, but Sadie has not had the opportunity to be off leash with them. The cat in the household quickly left the area when it saw Sadie, and Sadie did not chase it. She is a good "watch" collie, barking at the door when someone knocks but greets people well. She has not shown any fear of household or weather noises. She is a bit vocal, but her barking does have a purpose--to alert the foster to something she thinks is worth checking out. Sadie is sweet and well-behaved, does well in the car and is trustworthy in the house without a crate. She is just waiting for her forever home.Dont forget to visit our informative website, www.almosthomeohio.org, for valuable information and interesting features. 8/10/25 7:53 PM
Percy Adoption pending (medical hold)
Adult • Female • Medium
To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application! Sweet and loving Percy is an adorable Sheltie looking for her forever home. She had a bit of a slow start in life and is happy to be in foster care. Before coming to Almost Home, Percy lived with many dogs and didn't get much one-on-one attention, so she still has much to learn. Percy is very smart. Her foster family is teaching her basic commands, and she's already mastered "sit" like a champ! Percy is curious about toys but hasn't quite figured them out yet. Don't worry-she's eager to learn and absolutely loves attention, so she'll get the hang of playtime in no time. She is relatively quiet in the house and loves to snuggle up next to her foster family. She has become very comfortable in her foster home and has even claimed the family's giant dog bed as her own. She gets along wonderfully with the other pets in the home and even politely tolerates the resident cat. Percy is house trained and will go into a crate-especially if she can keep an eye on her humans. She enjoys spending time outside, happily sniffing and exploring, but she always stays close and never wanders far. When meeting new people, Percy greets them with excitement and tail wags. At a recent grooming appointment, she was so relaxed she fell asleep in the tub! The groomers adored her-and we know you will, too. Percy may need a little extra guidance as she continues to grow and learn, but she'll reward you every day with her loving heart!
