Hunter
Baby • Male • Small
HUNTER DOB: 06/11/25 Male Hunter is the adorable son of Olive and brother of Sage, Jade, and Forrest. He along with his littermates was born outside on a deck in Newark where his chances of having a good life as an outdoor stray kitten were pretty slim. We are so glad that we are able to give him the chance for a better life. He is cute as they come and a happy little kitten. He is looking for a home where someone will promise to love him and take care of him for the next 15-20 years and to never give up on him no matter what! --- If you are interested in learning more about this sweet kitty, please complete an online adoption application at https://form.jotform.com/251950332045046 We do not have a shelter or sanctuary. All pets are cared for in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. We require a home visit as part of the application process. We are only able to coordinate home visits where we have local volunteers. All of the cats in our care and available for adoption have been rescued from shelters, the streets or from neglect or abuse situations. We do our best to determine the given breed or breeds of any cat or kitten in our program based on our experience and advice of professionals. NOTE: PetPromise requires that young kittens be adopted in pairs unless you have an existing kitten or young cat at home. This policy is intended to ensure that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development. Most rescue groups have similar policies regarding kittens.  Click here to learn more about why this is important: http://petpromise.org/singlekitten Also, PetPromise requires all pets be spayed or neutered and fully vaccinated before adoption. However, if you are interested in a particular kitten you may apply to adopt the kitten and once approved, you may enter into a Foster to Adopt Agreement whereby you agree to foster the kitten for PetPromise until PetPromise has the kitten fully vaccinated and spayed. Once the vet care is complete an official adoption will be completed.
Calvin
Baby • Male • Small
CALVIN DOB: Approx. 05/05/2025 Male, 1.5 lbs. Say Hello to Baby Calvin. Calvin was born outside under the bushes near a meat packing facility in South Columbus. He and his mother, Chloe, were rescued when the employees at the meat packing company called us to help. Calvin is a sweet little kitten. He loves other cats, he loves people. He is playful, active but still a cuddler with the biggest loudest purr! He is so sweet and he loves everyone he meets! Because we believe that kittens under 6 months need to grow up with “littermates” in order to avoid “Single Kitten Syndrome” we require that Calvin (and all kittens under 6 months) be adopted along with another kitten unless there is another kitten in the adoptive home already. Calvin is the perfect little kitten and will make the perfect addition to any family as long as they are willing to commit to loving him for the next 20 years! --- If you are interested in learning more about this sweet kitty, please complete an online adoption application at https://form.jotform.com/251950332045046 We do not have a shelter or sanctuary. Phoenix
Senior • Male • Medium
Pheonix was rescued from a hoarding situation and was a very shy boy when he came to PetPromise. He was always gentle but just afraid. He loves to be out and around people but is cautious until he gets to know you. In August 2024, Phoenix began losing weight and we couldn't figure out why. He was always hungry and ate all of the time but he was losing weight. When we took him to the vet they determined he had an intestinal blockage. He was sent to MedVet and testing was done to determine that he had a mass in his intestines. Without biopsies and other tests, they could not determine if the mass was benign or malignant but he was going to die if something wasn't done. So the surgeon removed the mass and the part of his intestine around it. The mass came back as malignant but the surgeon felt confident that they had good clean margins and that his prognosis was good. Since his surgery last summer, he has been doing great. He has been eating and gaining weight, happy, playing and as happy as he can be. We are so thankful he had the wonderful doctors able to perform the surgery and that he has been given not just a second chance but a third chance at life. He is currently living in a foster home with other cats. He enjoys their company as well as the company of people (on his own terms.) If you would like to welcome Phoenix into your home to spend the rest of his third life with you, please complete an on-line Adoption Application at: https://form.jotform.com/251950332045046
Pickles
Young • Male • Large
Meet Pickles. Pickles was found under a large delivery truck at the Dicks Sporting Goods Loading dock. The workers there saw blood under the truck and it was a lot of blood! Then they saw a little cat walk out. He had blood all over the back half of him and he had no tail. He looked up at them and meowed. He was asking for help. He had obviously been up inside the truck (who knows for how long or where it came from) trying to stay warm when his tail was severed by a blade or fan in the engine of the truck. The Dicks employees gathered together and one of them took Pickles to the vet to see if there was anything that could be done for him. The vet treated hi for pain, gave him antibiotics and kept him for two days at the vet care center. They employees picked him up (pooling all of the money they had to cover the bill) and called PetPromise to see if we could help. One of our new foster Mom's stepped up to foster the big boy (who was barely more than a teenage cat himself). He is in his foster home now and he is going through treatment to help heal his amputated tail. He gets laser treatments weekly and he is starting to heal. But despite everything this sweet boy has been through he is the happiest, most friendly boy you will ever meet. He loves people, stands on his hind legs to get head pets, he loves to follow his foster Mom everywhere, and he LOVES food! (He had been pretty emaciated when he was found so he hadn't been eating regularly and now he wants nothing more than to gobble up whatever is available! He is almost healed and will be ready to be the love of someone's life. This boy is going to make an amazing best friend for someone. If you are looking for a very smart, funny, outgoing (and very very lucky) boy, Pickles is the perfect cat for your family! If you can open your heart for a lifetime to Pickles, please complete an on-line adoption application at: https://form.jotform.com/251950332045046
Ringo
Young • Male • Medium
RINGO DOB: ~04/26/2023 Male, 11 lbs Say hello to the Sweetest, friendliest, happiest cat in the world! This is Ringo. This poor boy was found in the Lincoln Village area where he was a community cat that everyone knew and everyone thought he belonged to someone else. He loved kids, he loved the people walking down the street, he loved everyone….but no one opened their home to him because they all thought he was someone else’s cat. Then one day he showed up with a very large wound on the side of his neck. The wound extended down through the muscle to the bone. He must have been in so much pain. But he went from house to house…and again no one helped him. As the days went on and the wound got bigger, one of the residents contacted PetPromise, told us about this neighborhood cat that belonged to someone else but belonged to no one…and she told us he was in trouble. We went to see him and he came running over and we couldn’t believe what we saw. The wound was at least 4” in diameter and so deep that you could see deep inside his neck. We scooped him up (and he purred and was happy). We took him to MedVet where they admitted him. For the next three days they treated him, cutting away the dead skin around the wound and bandaging it and cleaning it every two hours. He had to have surgery to close the wound and during all of this people contributed and prayed for a good outcome for Ringo. While at MedVet, we discovered that Ringo was FIV+….this was not what we wanted to hear (not because it is a death sentence, FIV+ cats can live totally normal life spans with good vet care and loving pet parents) but because we knew that a lot of people would overlook him because he was FIV+…which is so unfortunate. While FIV cannot be cured we have learned much more about this feline disease and we know that it is spread via deep bite wounds, so if cats in a household get along, FIV+ cats can live happily with non-FIV+ cats for many many years. So after two surgeries, and lots of care and love from the public, Ringo is healed. But his heart is still waiting…waiting for someone to pick him. He is the sweetest cat ever. This boy is the cat that everyone always asks for ... .the cat that will follow you everywhere, that will sit in your lap while you watch television, sleep with you at night., let you pick him up and carry him around like a baby. Ring is THE SWEETEST cat and true to the “orange tabby” lore…so outgoing and the perfect cat for anyone that wants personality plus! Someone will be very lucky to have this boy as their best friend! --- If you are interested in learning more about this cat, please complete an online adoption application at https://form.jotform.com/251950332045046 We do not have a shelter or sanctuary.
