Kippa
Adult • Female • Large
How is this fun-filled gal still at the shelter? Introducing, The Dutchess of Daring, The Queen of Quirk, The Countess of Cantankerous, The Baroness of Batting, The Sultana of Sass, The Pampered Princess of HSMC a.k.a..... Kippa! So you might see where we're going with this. Kippa is a little, well.... particular and a little opinionated. This rambunctious girl can turn every day into a fun-filled adventure and sprinkle in a little mischief along the way. In other words, she is a hoot to hang out with, but not for the faint of heart! Is she the perfect cat for everyone? No. Is everyone going to fall in love with her? No. But there are actually people out there who LIKE kale, so that gives us hope that there is bound to be someone out there who will not only LIKE, but LOVE Kippa! This is a kitty who loves to be a part of the action, to be with her people, to play, explore, and potentially plot world domination. We aren't certain of that last part, but if there was a cat capable of doing it, it would be Kippa! This adorable, round faced girl has an estimated birthdate of 7/21/2021, so she's only about 4 years old and has lots of years left to sit and stare at you judgingly, hide that ugly Hawaiian shirt that you keep digging out of the closet, or critique your latest hairstyle. In addition to having mastered the "hairy stink eye" and the all important "skippity bippity bap", she found some time to become a catnip connoisseur, and her favorite is a local, organic variety that conveniently may be found in the kitty catnip kickers sold at HSMC. What a coincidence! If you would like to get on Kippa's good side, the quickest way is to give her a Churu tube. This little lady LOVES those things, and will be your best friend if you bestow one upon her. Kippa truly is a good girl, but she has a big personality that isn't for everyone, but it's perfect for her someone! She loves to play, loves climbing cat trees, looking out the windows at birds, and she likes to play with other cats when it fits into her busy schedule. She is selective of her feline friends, but she's roaming free with six other kitties in our cat room, and does a good job getting along with them, but also letting them know if someone does something that displeases her. She would be a great solo kitty, or she could coexist in a home with a kitty who gives her the space she needs. We don't know for sure how she would do with dogs, but she may be fine as long as she is able to have her space and escape when needed. Are you looking for a sidekick with some sass? A chum with some spunk? A partner with personality to spare? If so, then Kippa may be your girl! Would you like to meet this terrific torbie? If so, please fill out an application and schedule a meet and greet. West Jefferson, Ohio #hsmcohio Our adoption fee is $100.00 for kittens up to 6 months of age and $80 for cats 7 months and older. Velvet
Adult • Female • Medium
** In order to adopt an un-spayed kitty from HSMC, you must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "foster to adopt" the kitty and then the adoption will be finalized when she is brought back for her spay surgery. You will may to bring the kitty back for vaccines and exams prior to her spay surgery** Say hello to our resident catwalk queen, Velvet. This stunner was found as a stray kitty and taken care of by a kind person until we had room for her at the shelter. Velvet has an estimated birthdate of 7/13/23, so she's about two years old. Velvet is a lovely lady with a sweet, but sometimes sassy personality. She likes to be brushed, which is a good thing since that long and lush coat needs a lot of care to keep it beautiful and knot free. Velvet has let her guard down and become a pretty laid back lady, but if she isn't a fan of something she will let you know, with a hiss or swat. She's not a meanie at all, and actually quite the opposite, she's just a young lady who knows what she likes. This lovely lass is more than just a pretty face too, as she loves furry mice and kitty catnip kickers. She has been around other kitties at the shelter and she seems to be okay with most of them, but of course would need slow and proper introductions if adopted by a person or family with other fur babies. She would be a great only kitty too where she is the queen of the home, who gets to soak up all of the love and spoiling. We don't know how she feels about dogs, but she may be just fine with a respectful, cat-friendly dog. Since Velvet does have some of her own opinions, she may do best with children who are a bit older and can read cues. Would you like to meet the gorgeous and lovable, Velvet? If so, please complete an application and once it's approved, schedule a meet and greet. Revi
Adult • Female • Medium
This sweet and equally gorgeous girl is, Revi. This adorable girl was brought to us through no fault of her own, but sadly after her owner passed away. Sweet Revi has an estimated birthdate of 4/5/19, so she's about 6 years old. Precious Revi is one of the first adorable faces that will greet you when you come to visit the kitty room. She roams free and is a huge fan of couch naps and snuggles up next to the staff and volunteers. She is as sweet and calm as they come, totally low maintenance and never makes a fuss. We have discovered her love for catnip and toys with feathers too! You will be her best friend if you give her some fresh catnip. Revi loves pets and attention, and will purr up a storm when she receives love. She loves her soft, cushy bed and would love to have one in her forever home. She gets along well with other kitties, and would likely do well with a feline friend in her forever home, or as the lone princess of her palace. We don't know how Revi feels about dogs, but we suspect that she would be fine with a gentle, cat friendly dog. Remember that slow and proper introductions are a must between new furry family members. Revi has been around kids, and she does quite well with them. She roams free in our kitty room, so she meets people of all ages on a daily basis, and she is a fan of everyone.. Would you like to meet this sweetheart and give her her loving and permanent forever home? If so, please complete an application and schedule a meet and greet and come meet the wonderful Revi! Mici
Adult • Female • Medium

You may need to bring the kitty back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay surgery** Prepare yourself for kitty perfection, in the form of sweet, Mici. Seriously, they simply do not come any cuter or sweeter than Mici. This cute girl was brought to us through no fault of her own, but sadly after her owner passed away. Sweet Mici has an estimated birthdate of 12/11/22, so she's just 2 1/2 years old. Mici is a friendly girl, who gets along just fine with other kitties, and also loves to play. Her favorite things are furry mice and kitty catnip kickers. She loves affection, and will sit on the chair with our volunteers and staff for as long as they're willing. Since she likes other kitties, she would do well in a home with other feline friends. She's a social gal, and we think that other fur babies will be ideal for her, but she could also be a solo kitty. We don't know how she feels about dogs, but we suspect that she would likely do fine with a cat-friendly, respectful dog. Would you like to meet this practically purrfect girl? Opal- In Foster
Adult • Female • Medium
Say hello to the sweet as can be, Opal. This sweet little lady came to us through no fault of her own, but only after her owner found themselves unable to afford to keep a kitty and made the difficult decision to bring her to us. Opal has an estimated birthdate of 7/1/22, so she's just about 3 years old. Since coming to us this little cutie has gained several fans. She is much loved by the staff and volunteers at the shelter, but we felt that she would be more comfortable in a foster home instead of at the shelter, so she's currently enjoying her time in a loving foster home. Opal has a very sweet personality and loves getting as much attention as possible. She loves fuzzy blankets and she even plays fetch! Her previous owner told us that she gets along great with dogs, so if you have a cat-friendly dog who would love a feline friend, then Opal is the girl for you! She likes other kitties, but can sometimes be a tad selective with who she chooses to associate with. She would be fine in a home with other kitties, but slow and proper introductions would be a must, as they are with a dog as well. Opal does great with kids and would be a wonderful friend for a child. She is a fun and playful kitty and will be a wonderful addition to just about any home. Would you like to meet the wonderful Opal? If so, please complete an application and we will call you to schedule a meet and greet once your application is approved. Remember that Miss Opal is living in a foster home and not at the shelter, so a meet and greet must be scheduled!
