Peach
Adult • Female • Medium
Life is a Peach for Ms. Peach! Well, it is beginning to be a great life for this two-year-old lab mix. Peach was rescued from euthanasia with minutes to spare! She had no business being on the euthanasia list, this girl is as sweet as, well, peaches! Luckily, things are much improved and this pup is thriving in her foster home. But now it's time to start searching for that special forever family who is looking for a wonderful rescue dog to bring home. What would you have with Peach? She is housebroken, dog-friendly, affectionate, and doing great with manners, but could always use refreshers (who couldn't?!). Peach is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and on preventatives. But, before finding her way to rescue she was neglected by previous owners who did not keep her on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention and as a result she is heartworm positive. But don't give that too much thought...the rescue is treating her with the fast-kill method, the form preferred by vets, and she will have completed the protocol before adoption. She will be ready in 3-4 weeks and so we begin our search for that special family who can see the special pup that Peach is. Please write to [email protected] for more information or submit the application today! We will post the application link below. Peach is currently outside of Austin, Texas, but the rescue will send to an approved adopter through one of our rescue transport partners. While you wait, we will connect you with the foster who can send you updates and videos of your pup. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfderxeVSRaTD4LtBtWJiOMN-c75R5JVsDZ0fVGxTdEKbYDHQ/viewform?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR0KYsTwhL0U9NouwVvj1Ht6Hrd0Fm22lt4-KNwPqKce4AelYjAra1G6MGA_aem_Ead29snq0pDNMKGQoRBBfw

Riley
Adult • Female • Medium
Meet Riley! A sweet and snuggly three-and-a-half-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier currently living in Lancaster, PA, whose heart is as big as her gorgeous black coat with its charming white chest patch. Riley is the ultimate love bug—she’ll happily spend her days curled up beside her favorite people, offering endless affection and soaking up all the cuddles! Weighing 30 pounds, she’s the perfect medium-sized companion for someone looking for a low-maintenance, affectionate pup who adores calm routines and cozy companionship. Chew toys and soft blankets are her go-to comforts, and she’s never happier than when she’s snuggled up next to you. She’s house-trained, rides well in the car, and has attended both doggy daycare and overnight boarding with ease. Riley is especially gentle with children—she's had a wonderful bond with the toddler in her current home—and she knows basic commands like sit, stay, and lie down thanks to previous obedience training. While Riley gets along well with the laid-back dog she currently lives with, she does experience anxiety when encountering unfamiliar dogs on leash. This has led to leash reactivity, and most recently, Riley bit another dog that passed by her yard. This behavior is out of character for her, but it highlights the need for a calm, dog-savvy guardian who understands reactivity and can continue helping her through positive reinforcement and structured management. She’s not a candidate for homes with cats and would do best as the only dog in a peaceful setting without a lot of canine traffic, such as a rural home or quiet neighborhood. Despite her struggles with other dogs, Riley’s devotion to people is unwavering! She’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly loyal—a true couch buddy and loving companion. Her gentle nature with people makes her a wonderful match for a family or individual who wants a close, one-on-one bond with their dog. We’re including a full month of behavioral guidance from our consultant to help Riley settle in. Her new family will have compassionate support every step of the way to feel confident, connected, and at home. Could your home be the cozy, calm retreat Riley needs to thrive? If you're interested in providing Riley with a loving home, please email [email protected] for more information on adopting her! Please note that Riley will remain with her current family until a suitable new home is found for her. Also, Riley is open to a long-distance adoption—love knows no distance when finding your perfect companion!

Alani
Adult • Female • Medium
THE FOLLOWING PET IS FOSTERED IN CHICAGO, IL BUT AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT!!! Details below Meet Alani Alani is a 4-year-old, 43 lbs. German Shepherd mix. She hails from Texas originally, rescued by Mutts n Such Rescue, but has been living her best life in Chicago for the last 6 months. She’s a love bug with her people. She wants to be close at all times, following you around the house, snuggling with you on the couch and sleeping near you at night. She loves to play ball and is high energy so would do best in a home with a large, fenced backyard, where she can fetch to her heart’s content. Alani loves her people (and toys) so much that a home where she is the center of attention is best. She knows basic commands. Alani comes when called, sits on command, and walks fairly well on a leash. She pulls a little, but consistent training should resolve this. Like many rescues, Alani has separation anxiety. She wants to be with her people at all times. It will take a couple weeks for her to settle into her new environment. She also has a high prey drive and can be overprotective of her people, so she’ll need to be on a leash when in public areas for her safety and the safety of those around her. Alani is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment. This treatment is covered covered by Mutts N Such Rescue and requires minimal effort on the adopting family. Alani is a beautiful, sweet and loyal pup, seeking someone’s unconditional love, guidance and time. The biggest reward is when you see her panting happy face from catching a ball. It makes it all worth it. Alani is being fostered in Chicago, IL. ALANI IS BEING FOSTERED IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF THE AREA. Wheezy
Adult • Female • Medium
Meet Wheezy! A loving approximately three-and-a-half-year-old mixed-breed sweetheart from Centreville, VA, whose heart is as big as her personality! With her snowy white coat, golden patches, and mesmerizing icy blue eyes, she’s as striking as she is affectionate. Wheezy is a devoted, cuddly, and playful companion who’s happiest when she’s by your side—whether that’s snuggled up on the couch or engaged in a spirited play session in the backyard! Her name isn’t just cute—it’s a perfect fit! When she’s soaking up attention from her favorite people, she lets out little “wheezes” and “oinks” of pure contentment, like a tiny, happy piglet. And when it comes to playtime, Wheezy has a signature move: enthusiastic roughhousing! She loves an energetic romp with her family but always keeps things gentle, instantly switching back to cuddle mode the moment you tell her it’s time to settle. Wheezy is a very intelligent girl who thrives on structure and positive reinforcement. She’s fully house-trained, knows several commands—including "sit," "shake," "place," "free," and "wait"—and picks up new skills quickly. She even has a special command, “place,” which helps her stay calm when guests visit. A quiet home without other animals or young children would be the perfect match for her, as she prefers to be the center of attention and isn’t comfortable around other pets. Wheezy is reactive toward other dogs and has shown aggression toward them. In the past, she has bitten another dog in the home, which is why she would do best as the only pet. Despite dedicated training and behavior management, she remains uncomfortable around other animals and needs a pet-free environment where she can relax and be her best self. She currently takes Venlafaxine to help manage stress and reactivity, which has been beneficial, and she follows a special diet to prevent food allergies. Continuing this routine will help her stay happy and healthy. She’s also not a fan of vet visits, but with a bit of preparation (and some pre-visit sedation medication), she handles them like a champ! If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and delightfully quirky best friend, Wheezy is ready to be your constant companion! Are you the loving, pet-free home she needs to truly shine? If you're interested in providing Wheezy with a loving home, please email [email protected] for more information on adopting her! Please note that Wheezy will remain with her current family until a suitable new home is found for her.
