Talya
Young • Female • Medium
Meet Talya, a shy but incredibly affectionate 9-month-old girl who just needs a little time and love to reveal her true, gentle nature. Though she can be reserved at first, once Talya warms up, she becomes a sweet and loving companion who bonds deeply with her humans. Her true confidence shines when she’s around other dogs, and she absolutely thrives in their company. Playtime with her canine friends is where she feels happiest and most secure. Talya is already crate-trained and potty-trained, and she’s eager to show off her smarts—especially when there are treats involved! She quickly sits on command and is ready to learn more in the hands of a patient, loving family. While Talya does struggle with her confidence, especially when left alone, she has the potential to blossom with the right guidance and support. A home with at least one other dog would be ideal for her, as she takes great comfort in having a furry friend by her side to show her the ropes. With a patient, understanding family who can provide her with plenty of love, reassurance, and a calm environment, Talya will learn that the world isn’t so scary after all. Talya’s future is bright, and she’s looking for a family who can help her build her confidence and enjoy all the love, fun, and security life has to offer. She’s a gentle soul who needs a peaceful, nurturing environment where she can feel safe and supported as she continues to grow. Talya is currently located in a foster home in Texas and is waiting for her forever family to help her flourish. Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. Journey
Adult • Male • Large
Hey there, I’m Journey—and my name says it all. ?? The first part of my life wasn’t easy. I spent over a year neglected and starved in an outdoor kennel with no shelter. Then, I waited another 17 months at a pound before REAL Rottweiler Rescue stepped in and gave me a second chance. Now I’m living in a foster home, learning what love feels like, how to live in a real house, and how to just be a dog. It’s been quite the ride… but I’m still hoping the best part is yet to come. I might be an American Bulldog/Terrier mix, but what I definitely am is one-of-a-kind. I’ve got a heart-shaped spot on my side, a diamond around one eye, and eyeliner that’s always flawless. Oh—and I’m deaf, but don’t let that scare you! I know how to sit by touch and come when I see the right signal. I’m smart and willing—I just need someone who will meet me where I am. When I love, I LOVE—deeply and completely. I’m very affectionate and prefer not to be left alone too long. I love walks, jogs, and adventures (though I do pull on the leash, and I’m strong—like, really strong). I’ll need continued training and a patient human who understands that I’m still learning how to trust the world. The truth is, I’m stranger-reactive and dog-selective. I bark at new people and dogs, so in-person meet-and-greets are a must. I’d do best as your one and only, but with the right calm female dog, I might be able to share space. Because I’m nervous around strangers, I need a home without kids—nothing personal, I just do better in a predictable, low-traffic environment. I’ve passed my cat test (yep, you read that right!), I don’t have a bite history, and I show no food aggression. I’ve learned how to relax in a bath, chew a bone, and I’m working every day to become the best version of me. I love water, even if it sometimes gives me ear infections. Fetch? Not really my thing. Grass? Makes me itchy. But being loved? Being understood? That’s all I want. I’ve been waiting three years for the right person to come along—not just anyone, but someone strong, patient, protective, and committed. Someone who understands that I may always have a few quirks… but I also have a heart that’s loyal, brave, and full of love.
Dowdy
Adult • Male • Large
DOWDY IS LOCATED IN A FOSTER HOME IN TEXAS, BUT AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT. Please read below.. Meet Dowdy – a happy, strong boy with a big smile and an even bigger heart! Weighing in at 71 pounds, this lovable guy is dog friendly, house trained, and crate trained. Dowdy is full of playful energy and loves spending time with his people. He’d do best in a home with older kids who can handle his strength and enthusiasm, especially when he gets excited. Dowdy was found as a stray in a well-known dumping area in Dallas, left to fend for himself. Despite his rough start, he hasn’t let it dim his joyful spirit. He’s ready to leave the past behind and find a family who will love and care for him forever. Dowdy was born on July 16, 2022, and is currently being fostered in Fort Worth, Texas. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion, Dowdy is ready to bring joy and energy into your life. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas, Colorado, or Pennsylvania. Jackson
Adult • Male • Large
Meet Jackson! A spirited four-and-a-half-year-old Labrador Retriever and German Shepherd mix from Avondale, PA, whose essence is a bold blend of loyalty and energy wrapped in a handsome brown coat. Jackson is a big-hearted, 87-pound bundle of excitement who’s always ready for action—especially if that action involves a rugged Kong toy! Whether he’s tossing it around on his own or playing tug with a trusted human, those toys are his go-to for fun and focus. His favorite people? He adores them deeply! When Jackson bonds, he bonds hard—and he shows it in the most affectionate ways, from leaning into your legs to following you around with those big, soulful eyes. This boy is smart and responsive—he already knows “sit” and “down,” and with some positive reinforcement and patience, he’s sure to master even more commands. Jackson hasn’t had formal obedience training yet, but he’s definitely a pup who would thrive with structure and guidance. He’s house-trained, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, making him all set in the health department. Jackson does have a few quirks that make him unique. He’s been a little protective of his space and people—once reacting with a nip when surprised by an unfamiliar guest. He does best in an environment where introductions are calm and controlled, and where he knows what to expect. He’s also not a fan of other dogs, so he’s looking for a one-dog home where he can be the center of attention. As for cats, the jury’s still out—he hasn’t had enough exposure to say for sure. But don’t let that tough exterior fool you—Jackson is a softie at heart! He just wants to be loved, understood, and given the chance to thrive in a home where he can soak up all the attention. He’s the perfect match for someone with dog experience who can provide consistent care, loving boundaries, and lots of playtime. To make sure that Jackson has a great start with his new family, we have a canine behaviorist available for a free consultation. He’s waiting to find that special someone to share his big love and even bigger personality. If you're interested in providing Jackson with a loving home, please email [email protected] for more information on adopting him! Please note that Jackson will remain with his current family until a suitable new home is found for him.

Storm
Adult • Male • Large
THE FOLLOWING PET IS FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT!!! Details below Meet Storm, a truly stunning dog with a golden gaze that seems to look straight into your soul. With a calm, observant nature and a quiet strength, Storm has a stoic charm that sets him apart. He was found starving in the middle of winter in North Dallas alongside his mate and puppies, and though his past was filled with hardship, Storm is slowly but surely healing. He’s blossomed into a friendly companion who enjoys head rubs, squeaky toys, and just relaxing in the presence of his people. When it comes to treats, Storm doesn’t discriminate—peanut butter, blueberries, hot dogs, mealtime, or biscuits, he’s a big fan of them all. Storm is both crate-trained and potty-trained, and he already knows how to sit and shake hands. His intelligence and strong food motivation make him a quick learner, especially when positive reinforcement is involved. While he can be a little uncertain during car rides, he just needs continued encouragement and reassurance to help him feel secure. His personality is best described as stoic and calm, leaning toward lazy when he’s at home, but always alert and thinking. He prefers to take things in quietly, learning by observing the world around him. Storm is gaining confidence each day and, once he builds trust, he bonds deeply with his humans. He would do best in a calm household with older children and at least one other dog. Having a canine friend helps him feel more secure, and he is especially responsive to learning from other dogs. Storm’s “monkey see, monkey do” mentality means he’ll pick up on household routines quickly with the right guidance and support. He is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, which is fully covered by Mutts N Such Rescue and requires minimal effort from his future family. With continued care, patience, and love, Storm’s future is incredibly bright. He’s looking for a kind, understanding family that can offer him the reassurance and stability he needs to continue his journey from survivor to beloved companion. Storm is currently being fostered in North Texas and is waiting for the right home to call his own. Graysen

THE FOLLOWING PET IS FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT!!! Details below Meet Graysen – Your Built-In Best Friend! Graysen is a loving, loyal pup who’s always ready to be by your side. He’s affectionate, cuddly, and happiest when snuggled up on the couch or curled up in bed at night. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is currently thriving in a foster home with two canine buddies. Graysen does well left out of the crate, content to hang out with his furry friends while you’re away. This smart boy is very food motivated and already knows “sit” and how to shake hands. With a little consistency and a few treats, he’s sure to pick up even more tricks in no time! Due to his high prey drive, he would do best in a home without cats or small animals. Graysen’s journey hasn’t been easy. He was brought to the shelter as a stray, adopted, and then heartbreakingly returned when he came down with an upper respiratory infection. With the shelter overcrowded, he was placed on the euthanasia list. But we couldn’t let that be the end of his story—so we stepped in and gave him the second chance he so clearly deserved. Born in 2021 and fostered in Texas, Graysen is now healthy, happy, and ready to find his forever home.
