Mabel is a loving 2-3 year old wonderful girl who weighs 53 lbs. She is a mixed breed who looks like she may have some retriever but we don't really know until she gets a DNA test. This Tennessee gal has a full body wag and leashes up fairly easy. She has a bounce to her step that is so cute. Our goofy gal is very friendly to both people and dogs. She is a curious dawg and may need some training but she catches on quickly. Mabel is a real water baby, so maybe that "retriever part" is accurate! She loves biting at the water and running through sprinklers. She went to an event with doggie pool and had a blast! Fun times! Hi! My name is ROSIE and I am looking for my new home!I I am a super sweet, affectionate 6+year old gal and I weigh 65 pounds. Based on my DNA results, I am 75% Rhodesian Ridgeback and 25% German Shorthaired Pointer mix (see my DNA results picture). House trained! Crate trained! Leash trained! I am a very loving, friendly, and snuggly with my people and I often follow my people around. Meet Kimber - if you are looking for a low maintenance dog that loves to watch TV, cuddle, play with toys, and curl up in blankets, and share naps,this is your girl. Shes so loving! Kimber is a very sweet female cuddle bug that is a 5 years old bull terrier mix that weighs 55 pounds. She went through the obedience training program at the prison and has learned so much! She loves all people including older kids, is house trained and goes in her crate when her foster is away. She does want to be the only pet in her home and would do best with a fenced-in yard. She will go on walks but doesn't necessarily need them. She loves sleeping in bed or watching TV. Kimber is a smart girl that loves her human attention and has done great at all events we have taken her to. Meet a very special gal, Mollie the Great Pyrenees. You will fall in love with this quiet, laid back 6 year old sweet dog. We're not sure how much she weighs since she has quite a bit of fur, but clearly she is a large dog. Best guess is 80ish lbs. Molly is very affectionate, yet independent. Of course, she loves being outdoors, but she is not fond of the rain. As stated in the introduction of our adoption application, all our dogs are meant to be companion dogs, and not expected to live outside, nor in the basement for extended periods of time. She loves people, and cherishes her time with family. She has had no accidents so far in her kennel, and she pottied when let outside. Mollie lost her home when her family relocated, through no fault of her own. She would be fine with older kids over 12 years old. Mollie is also very gentle on a leash. Meet Akia, an adorable 2 year old bully mixed breed who will captivate you with her lovely smile. Akia is such a sweet, wiggly girl and really just wants to love on you! She loves everyone including other dogs. At 59 lbs she is alot of love but walks pretty good on a leash and is not much of a puller! Akia is quickly becoming a staff favorite. Our wriggley girl loves treats and will immediately assume the position to get more. She is a great ambassador at doggie adoption events, especially when there is a nice doggie pool for her on a hot summer day. Maisie is very excited to meet her forever family. She has a perfect dog personality. She is 5 years old and weighs just over 60 lbs. She is a sweet female mixed breed who loves people. Adults, kids, size doesn't matter she loves them all. She loves.all toys and especially likes to play fetch. House, Crate, Leash, Obedience Trained! She is a graduate of our prison training program and here is what her trainer says: Maisie is a well trained and a well behaved dog. She knows a lot of commands that she learned very fast, heel, sit, down, over, shake and she even knows how to high five. She will wait on command and will come when you call for her. She likes treats and she also enjoys to earn affection. Maisie is great with her food, you can touch her or her food without problems and she does well with waiting to be hold to eat. Maisie enjoys walks and will prance along happy as can be. She does not like the rain or getting wet but bath times are not an issue. Maisie does not like to be cold but will play in the snow from time to time. She may get super excited when she sees a golf cart because she enjoys the rides. Daisy loves balls, especially herding balls. During a hot summer day, she ignored the nice dogfie swimming pool and went straight for the ball. We had to call a time out so she wouldnt get heat stroke! Maisie loves her belly rubbed and she will lay at your feet until you stop. Meet Shannon a beautiful almost 4 year old 55 lb Great Pyrenees mix.We suspected with those beautiful blue eyes she may have some husky in her too and a DNA test proved we were right! She also has Mountain cur, shepherd, and golden retriever. Shannon is a calm, sweet, reserved girl at the kennel. she has takenva special shine ti our kennel mgr kayla and thats when her true personality comes out. She is enjoying her air conditioned private room where she has plenty of peace and quiet. She walks well on a leash and she seems good with other dogs. We were told she is good with medium and large size dogs socially and enjoyed her daycare excursions but she likes to be the only dog in the household. She has a high prey drive, so no small dogs please. Shannon does like a calm house so she can chill and relax. Our girl gets abit nervous when there is alot of running and loud voices in the home and property so we think a home with limited children would be best for her. Meet Ariel, a lovely 3-4 year old 62 lb mixed breed. We don't know her breed for sure without a DNA test, but we think she looks like she has a bit of shepherd or maybe cattledog. To us, she is 100% supermutt, the best kind of dog. UTD on all vaccinations and heartworm negative! Ariel is a recent arrival from Tennessee and she impressed us during her initial assessment. She was medium energy (always a plus!), smart, and easy on a leash. What a pleasure to walk! Treat motivated and very friendly. She appears good with other dogs - tested well with a volunteer's dog and had no reaction in passing the other dogs at the kennel.
