Bellah
Adult • Female • Medium
Meet Bellah! This sweet girl is ready to find her forever home! Bellah came to us after her previous owner was no longer able to care for her. A lot of dogs are scared coming into a new place, but Bellah has been friendly and loving since day 1. She’s got the sweetest disposition, and we just love spending time with her and taking her for walks. She does get VERY excited on walks and therefore pulls quite a bit but don’t be fooled! Bellah also has a very high prey drive, which means she's going to chase small animals/dogs. She will need to be in a home that is free of cats and small dogs. Bellah is incredibly smart so working on leash skills should be a breeze with her. Bellah previously lived with children and did wonderful with them. She loves bones and squeaky toys but her greatest love of all. Her human! She just wants to be on your lap giving you kisses. She’s as sweet as can be! Here’s a few facts about our sweet girl, Bellah! Approximate Birth Date - 08/15/2024 Size - Medium (43lbs) Likes - Giving kisses, getting loves and cuddles. Going for long walks and getting to sniff ALL of the things. Chewing her bones and toys. House Training - Bellah does keep her kennel clean with regular walks and we do believe she’s fully house trained! Other dogs - Bellah prefers the company of dogs that are similar in size. She has a very high prey drive, meaning she chases cats or small animals. so small dogs would be a no for her because of this. **In Order to adopt an unspayed/unneutered dog from HSMC, You must live within an hour of the shelter. Moana @ Prison Program
Young • Female • Large
Meet Moana (part of our Disney litter!) **Puppies are not at the shelter. They will need to be transported back for meet and greets** These pups are ready for their next adventure! This adorable litter of four is sweet, snuggly, and overflowing with puppy charm. They’re learning all the basics—potty training, what’s okay to chew (and what’s not), and how to explore the world one paw at a time. Right now, they’re staying safe and cozy through a local prison training program, which offers a controlled environment while they continue to grow and build confidence. Since they’re still too young for all their vaccines, it’s the perfect setup to keep them healthy as they prepare for future homes. They’ll definitely keep you on your toes—but they’ll also fill your home with love, laughs, and lots of tail wags. Approximate Birth Date - 04/06/2025 Size - Currently Medium with lots of room to grow! Likes - playtime, treats and snuggles, of course! House training - puppies are definitely going to need lots of patience and training in this area! These guys are getting a head start at our prison program but will need time to adjust to a new life and routine once adopted! Other dogs - most pups are blank slates when it comes to other dogs so friendly! It’ll be more about your dog/cat handling the puppy energy level. **In Order to adopt an unspayed/unneutered dog from HSMC, You must live within an hour of the shelter. Otter
Young • Female • Medium
Otter may start off a bit reserved. She'll need time to warm up to a new person but show her a little patience and you'll see a playful pup emerge. Once she feels secure, her sweet personality shines through in tail wags and joyful games of tug. She's your typical happy, bouncy pup once she gets to know you and enjoys cuddles and will always be happy to see you at the end of the day! She is the absolute sweetest pup but new environments make her nervous, so she thrives with slow introductions and predictable routines. She’s currently decompressing and rebuilding confidence with the help of patient humans who understand her pace. While Otter has shown some resource guarding behaviors around food we believe this may have stemmed from being in a high stress situation rather than an ongoing pattern. We’re actively evaluating her comfort level with other dogs and will update her status as we learn more. For now, we’re seeking a calm, dog-free home where she can continue to feel safe and supported as she blossoms into her best self. Approximate Birth Date – 06/13/2024 Size – Medium (37lbs) Likes – Cuddles with her humans, belly rubs, TREATS... and a good game of tug! House training – Otter keeps her kennel clean overnight, which tells us she’s either fully house trained or very close. With a little patience and time to adjust to a new routine, she’ll figure things out quickly! Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $21, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash. Jaxon
Adult • Male • Large
Meet Jaxon. Jaxon is a bright, loyal pup who’s always ready to learn and eager to please. He’s got a knack for picking up routines quickly and flashes those irresistible puppy-dog eyes whenever there’s a treat in sight. We’re not sure yet if he’s fully house-trained, but with his sharp mind and some consistency, he’s likely to catch on in no time. He walks beautifully on a leash and takes his toy time very seriously. He's happiest when he’s got a toy by his side. Because he can be a little protective of his toys, Jaxon would do best in a home without small children. We’d love to see him with someone who has experience with German Shepherds and understands how to support and bring out the best in this clever guy. J axon’s the kind of companion who thrives with patience, structure, and a little room to show off just how special he is. Approximate Birth Date - 12/18/2023 Size - Large (65lbs) Likes - Fetch, Long walks, Butt scratches. House Training - Jaxon has been having some trouble keeping his kennel clean since arriving with us. That could be due to stress of the shelter environment. He’s an incredibly smart boy and I do believe he will do very well with house training if he’s not fully house trained already. Other dogs - Jaxon has yet to be dog tested since arriving at our facility but we will update with that information asap! **In Order to adopt an unspayed/unneutered dog from HSMC, You must live within an hour of the shelter. Juice @ Prison Training Program
Adult • Male • Large
**ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED 100%** Meet Juice! This gorgeous guy came to us as a stray and after being a messy boy on leash, Juice was sent to our Prison Training Program where he's been taught all of his basic commands, walks lovely on a leash and takes treats gently. Juice is an entirely different dog now and is ready to find his happily ever after! Juice would do best in an active home where he can run off his zoomies! Juice is sweet, affectionate. LOVES to run and will do pretty much any trick for a treat. He will need to be in a feline free home as he has a pretty hefty prey drive, which means he's prone to chasing small animals such as squirrels, rabbits and cats. Juice will also do best in a home with children over the age of 12, He's a big boy and might unintentionally knock a small child over. Juice seems to have a preference for female dogs as well but don't let that deter you! Kylo @Prison Training Program
Adult • Male • Large
Meet Kylo! Looking for a new best friend? Kylo is a bundle of fun and happiness! This sweet, smiling boy is ready for his new loving family. This boy is the most loving, snuggliest guy you’ll ever meet. He gives the best cuddles and really enjoys romping around in the play area with his toys. He often runs up to everyone here at the shelter and leans his head into their lap for a snuggle. He loves treats and is so gentle at taking them. He’s a gentle walker on leash, only pulling slightly to get to a new smell. We do think that Kylo would be best with older kids that have dog experience as he is quite the jumpy fella. He might knock smaller kids over. That being said, Kylo is an absolutely incredible dog that is just hoping to find his happily ever after. Here’s a few facts about our sweet boy, Kylo! Approximate Birth Date - 12/09/2020 Size - Large (59lbs) Likes - Cuddles, Kisses, Playtime. Toys. Long walks, Treats.
