Avocado Toast "Cado"
Baby • Male • Medium
Update as of 4/25/23 Avocado Toast Cado 11 months, Male, Neutered 60.5 pounds as of April 20, 2023 Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Terrier Mix Hi, I'm Avocado Toast! My foster mom calls me Cado (Cah-doh), and I also answer to Wierdo. She calls me Wierdo because I'm a little bit weird. When I get excited or happy, I find anything I can to pick up and bring it to you. In fact, most of the time you can find me just carrying random objects around. If you're looking for a best buddy, someone to constantly make you smile with my quirkiness, that is definitely me! Some more about me: I'm being fostered in a home with 6 other dogs, so I get along pretty well with doggy friends. I've never been around cats, so I'm not sure how I would react to a kitty. I am a chewer, so having appropriate chew toys around is a must! I love peanut butter, bananas, carrots, lettuce, kale, and pretty much everything else! I'm not a very picky eater when it comes to treats and snacks. Some of my favorite things to do are zoomies in the backyard, wrestling with my bigger foster brothers, stealing toys from my sisters, PARKOUR!!!, snoozing and cuddling. I'm learning how to play fetch. I am a bit of a rough and tumble sort of guy, so I would be the bestest friend for older children (older than 6 years) that can run and play with me! I don't have any concept of personal space, and my favorite place to be is as close to you as possible. I'm a little unsure about new surroundings and new people but will eventually warm up to you. Once I do, I absolutely love my humans and will follow them around the house just to see what they are doing. If you adopt me, you'll never have to go to the bathroom alone again! Likes: Peanut butter, squeaky toys, chasing water from sprinklers/hoses, cuddling with humans, zoomies, mischief, being the center of attention Dislikes: I do not like my kennel, but will settle down after awhile, when my human goes to the bathroom without me. Hi! My name is Avocado Toast, but my foster mom calls me Cado and Dobby. Why Dobby you may ask? It's because sometimes my ears hang in a certain way that makes me look like Dobby the house-elf from the Harry Potter movies, and because when I'm really excited or happy, I pick up anything I find (toys, blankets, pillows, shoes and especially socks!) and bring them to you because I want to share my new find with you. I'm being fostered in a house with 2 of my littermates, and 4 other dogs. I get along fine with all of them (except that I am a bit of a bully to my littermates when it comes to toys). I would do well in a house with other older-than-me, bigger-than-me, well-established dogs, and would be great in a home where I am the center of attention, also (Let's face it, I'm a STAR!!!). I am energetic, and love to play. For fun, I like to wrestle and run around with my 85-lb foster brother, and play my mouth is bigger than yours with my other 65-lb foster brother. I also have a foster sister that is smaller than me and she has cerebellar hypoplasia. I am really good at playing with her and not knocking her over, and playing nice with her, and sharing my toys with her. But I don't like sharing my toys with my littermates. My foster mom likes to give me durable chew toys stuffed w/ frozen peanut butter and blueberries/strawberries/carrots/etc to keep me busy when she needs me to be quiet for awhile. If you leave me to my own devices, I will counter surf, and get into other mischief. My foster mom says it's because I'm too smart for my own good and I get bored easily. I would do best in a home with a yard so I can get my zoomies out. I'm not a big fan of being kenneled, but I do go into my kennel willingly for breakfast/dinner, and if you give me a treat or my favorite chew toy. I will [loudly] protest, but will settle down after a bit because I know you will come back for me soon. I am working on some basic commands like Sit, Down, and Shake. I am close to being house trained. I sometimes have an accident overnight, or during the day if you do not notice that I am at the back door waiting for you to let me out. Sometimes I play so hard that I don't know I have to go pee until I can't hold it anymore. My most favorite thing at the end of the day is to snuggle in with my favorite human and sometimes stick my nose in their ear (I don't know why, it's a compulsion). I'm a goofy boy. I also like to sneak up and put my head on their shoulder like I'm a parrot. I hope that if you are looking for an extremely handsome, adventuresome, energetic addition to your family, that I will be the top of your list!
Roulette
Baby • Female • Large
Hi, my name is Roulette! I'm learning to be a bold, playful puppy and am seeking an active family of my own! As with any puppy, I will need patience and understanding as I navigate and learn about the world around me! I'll benefit from reward-based training as I learn about potty training and foundation manners. As you can see, my skin is a bit patchy right now because they tell me I have a thing called demodex, but not to worry, I've been treated and should be growing in more fur soon enough! I will likely grow up to be a medium to large sized dog with moderate to high energy levels. I will also benefit from continued socialization with other dogs, people, sights, and sounds! I am approximately 16-17 weeks old and weigh between 19-21 pounds. Gigi's is now offering Training and Puppy Classes, as well as private sessions to help get families and their new furry family members off on the right paw! Check out: https://gigis.org/train-your-dog for more info. Roulette has received their full-service vet care, vaccines, pre-adoption behavior support, microchip and will be spayed.
