Yoshi
Adult • Male • Medium
Yoshi is available for Adoption! Are you looking for a handsome, goofy, zoomie, but also super chill and cuddly best friend? Yoshi is 2.5 years, neutered and fully vaccinated/vetted. He is dog friendly, LOVES playing ball, is house trained and great in the car. Yoshi previously completed three weeks of board and train where he learned all kinds of good boy things like 'sit', 'place, touch', and 'shake'. He is still working on loose leash walking. We do not know if he is cat friendly. He can be head shy and unsure around young children, so will do best in an adult only home or a home with kids that are able to recognize his need for them to go slow and allow him to gain confidence before they move quickly with him (approx 10-12 years of age and older). Once he has that bond and trust he's a big ol goober and will be your best buddy! OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Raising The Bar Animal rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our out of state adoption fee is $175 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of departure. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/RTB/Dog Note: RTB reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal. Sugar
Adult • Male • Medium
Meet Sugar – The Sweetest Boxer Mix Around! Looking for a playful, loyal, and downright lovable pup to be your sidekick in life’s adventures? Look no further than Sugar – a 1.5-year-old, 52lb neutered male Boxer mix with the cutest underbite and a heart as big as Texas! Sugar came from the Fort Worth shelter’s euthanasia list, but you’d never guess it now – this boy is thriving and ready to find his forever family! He’s house trained, crate trained, and sleeps soundly on his doggie bed at night. He’s not destructive indoors or out, though if he’s bored in the yard, he might try his paw at a little digging (what can we say, he’s a landscaper at heart!). He’s dog-selective, doing great with female dogs but not a fan of other males – Sugar likes to be the leading man! As for cats? Let’s just say he once peacefully shared a crate with a 6lb kitty, looking up as if to say, “Um, Mom… I think there’s a cat in my crate?” No aggression, just confusion. This handsome boy loves car rides, belly rubs, and a good butt scratch. He’s working with a trainer and knows all his basic commands like sit, stay, come, heel, and off for jumping. He’s learning to take treats gently with “nice” or “gentle,” and is food-motivated without being pushy. Sugar’s an active guy who loves to run and play chase in the yard. He’s not suited for apartment life – a fenced yard is a must for his zoomies and curiosity. He’d make a great walking or hiking partner (as long as it’s not too hot!), and while he’s not off-leash trained yet, he’s eager to please and loves being included in daily activities. He’s up to date on all vaccines (including rabies), microchipped, heartworm negative, and on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. His paperwork may say “pittie,” but his charming underbite, expressive face, and goofy personality scream Boxer energy all the way. Sugar would thrive in a home with older kids, a couple, or a single person who can give him attention, structure, and fun. He can be an only dog or have a female doggie buddy to romp around with. Sugar is ready to bring laughter, loyalty, and love into your life. Could you be the one to give this sweet guy the forever home he deserves? Come meet Sugar – the only thing missing from his life is you! Sugar is currently being fostered in Texas but available to transport to approved adopter in the Midwest, Northeast and Canada. Adoption fee includes vaccinations, Spay/Neuter, microchip, deworming, heartworm test, transport and vet/documentation requirements in preparation for transport. Prince
Adult • Male • Medium
Meet Prince – Royal Name, Goofy Heart, and a Comeback Story for the Ages! Once upon a time in a faraway land (okay, it was a crowded shelter in Texas), Prince found himself in a royal mess. His previous humans surrendered him, didn’t treat his eye issue (which, spoiler alert, was totally fixable), and since they didn’t bother to give him monthly prevention medication, he tested heartworm positive. To make matters worse, the clock was ticking—he was scheduled for euthanasia due to lack of space. But wait—enter the heroes (that’s us)! We scooped up this sweet boy just in time, got him all fixed up (neuter ??, heartworm treatment ??, entropion eye surgery ??), and now he’s living his best life like the true comeback king he is. Now that he’s heartworm-free and his eye no longer bothers him, Prince is shining like the gem he was always meant to be. He’s about 2 to 2.5 years old, weighs between 58–64 lbs, and is equal parts charming and derpy. Think of him as your handsome goofball in a fur coat. Prince is crate trained, potty trained, and knows several royal commands like sit, come, heel, and “gentle” (for treats, of course—his royal palate insists on good manners). He’s food and treat motivated but totally chill about it—no food aggression here! He loves dogs of all sizes and genders. Yes, we heard he was a bit of a “humpy prince” at the shelter, but that behavior has left the building since his neuter. These days, he’s just your typical playful, tail-wagging, toy-tugging pup. He rides like a dream in the car and enjoys walks and backyard zoomies. His energy is medium—not a couch potato, not a whirlwind—just the right amount of playful. Apartment life? Probably not his vibe. He’d much rather have a fenced yard to patrol (you know, royal duties). He’d be happy with or without a doggy sibling and would love a family, couple, or solo human—just as long as you include him in your daily adventures and shower him with love and snacks. So, if you’re looking for a loyal, dorky, big-hearted pup who’s already conquered adversity and come out tail-wagging… Prince is ready for his fairy tale ending. All hail the Goodest Boy. Come meet your new best friend today! Prince is currently being fostered in Texas but available to transport to approved adopter in the Midwest, Northeast and Canada. Adoption fee includes vaccinations, Spay/Neuter, microchip, deworming, heartworm test. You can find my form "Adoption Application" at: https://form.jotform.com/230167351175149
Romeo
Adult • Male • Medium
Hi there! My name is Romeo, and just like my name suggests, I’m a total sweetheart. I’m incredibly affectionate and loyal, and I love nothing more than being close to my humans. I have a great balance of energy—I enjoy being active and playful, but I’m also a big fan of lounging around and taking naps. I’m already potty trained, crate trained, and I’m doing awesome at learning new commands. I’m looking for a family that’s calm, confident, and willing to keep helping me grow with my training program I will be completing this month. While I’m pretty easygoing, I’d love a home with older kids and a fenced-in yard where I can stretch my legs and play! I’m smart, friendly, and naturally protective of the people I love. I do well around other pets—including chickens! I haven’t met a cat yet, so we’d have to see how that goes. I enjoy meeting new people and always get compliments on how handsome and well-behaved I am during walks. I’m a healthy, happy young dog just looking for the perfect place to call home—where I can be your loyal Romeo and soak up all the love and attention I’ve been dreaming of. CURRENTLY BEING FOSTERED IN TX, BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet may occur in person or on a video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc.). Our adoption fee is $350. Rusty
Adult • Male • Medium
Meet Rusty – Your Short King of big Fun! Hi there! I’m Rusty, a 4-year-old compact adventurer with the soul of a goofball and the legs of a corgi linebacker. The rescue says I’m a Black Mouth Cur/Shepherd mix, but let’s be honest—I’m basically a 50lb baked potato with legs and a heart of gold. Don’t let my age fool you—I’ve still got the zoomies, and my favorite games are keep away, chase, and making you laugh while I do zoomies like I’m being chased by a squirrel that owes me money. I’m short, stocky, and surprisingly fast for a guy built like a gym bro who skips leg day (ironic, I know). I’m: - Neutered - Heartworm negative - Fully vaccinated and microchipped - Potty trained and crate trained like a champ - Very proud of my perfect house manners in foster care I love other dogs my size or bigger (boys or girls, I’m not picky!), but I’d also be perfectly content being your one and only. I haven’t met any cats yet, but I might be a bit much for your average feline roommate. Think of me as the fun uncle who means well but accidentally knocks over a lamp just by entering the room. I’m not cut out for apartment life—I need a fenced yard where I can stretch these little legs and show off my “low center of gravity meets NASCAR” energy. I’m good in the car (no drama here!) and love being included in your daily plans. Walks? Yes please. Long hikes? Ehh… maybe if there’s snacks at the top. I’d thrive with an active person, couple, or family with kids over 10 (I’m just a bit too bouncy for the littlest humans). I promise to be your funny, loyal, slightly ridiculous sidekick in all things fun and wholesome. So if you’re looking for a short-legged bundle of love, laughs, and liveliness—Rusty’s your guy. Rusty is currently being fostered in Texas but available to transport to approved adopter in the Midwest, Northeast and Canada. Adoption fee includes vaccinations, Spay/Neuter, microchip, deworming, heartworm test, transport and vet/documentation requirements in preparation for transport. Spencer
Adult • Male • Medium
Meet SPENCER — The Certified Chunky Lovebug! Hi there! I’m Spencer, and if you’re looking for a big ol’ hunk of love, congratulations — you’ve just found him! I’m a handsome boy (just ask me, I’ll confirm it!), and my favorite pastime is snuggling up with my humans and showering them with hugs, kisses, and some seriously solid cuddles. When I’m not on cuddle duty, I’m all about zoomies and playtime! I’ve got energy to spare and a goofy streak a mile wide. I do get a little anxious when my people leave, but if I’ve got toys around, I’ll keep myself entertained like a pro. And once I feel safe and get to know your routine, my nerves settle down and I really thrive. I’m potty trained, though I might have an accident now and then if I get anxious or my signals are missed — but hey, nobody’s perfect, right? I’m learning more every day and improving fast! I adore kids and love to play with them, though I sometimes forget I’m a big solid dude and might accidentally bump a little one in all my excitement. So a home with older kids (8+) would be ideal! I’m also working on my manners when I get excited — like jumping up to say hi — but I’m a smart cookie and respond well to training, especially when there are treats involved. (Pro tip: I already know how to sit like a total gentleman!) I’m dog-friendly and love to make new canine friends, though I can be a bit mouthy when I play — nothing aggressive, just part of my goofy play style! I don’t mind having my ears, tail, or food touched, and I do great in the bath — especially when I get to splash around a little. Big pools? Still working up to those. I’m kennel trained and love having a cozy crate full of soft blankets. I like when the door is left open so I can come and go as I please — it’s my safe space! Oh, and if you’re wondering, I will absolutely let you know if I need to go outside or if something’s up. I’ve got excellent communication skills (just ask my foster!). Tug-of-war champion, cuddle connoisseur, and loyal best friend in the making — that’s me in a nutshell. So what do you say? Let’s meet. I promise to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love into your life. You won’t just adopt me — you’ll fall head over heels. Spencer is currently being fostered in Texas but available to transport to approved adopter in the Midwest, Northeast and Canada. Adoption fee includes vaccinations, Spay/Neuter, microchip, deworming, heartworm test, transport and vet/documentation requirements in preparation for transport.
