Nia
Young • Female • Medium
Meet Nia! What a gregarious, carefree spirit with her signature lollipop tail always wagging. Nia was born to a stray mama in the dirt alongside her six siblings. Though her beginnings were humble, at just 10 months old she hasn’t let any of it dull her joyful personality. Out of the litter of chocolate pups, Nia was the unique one with her strawberry freckles, tan ears, and the sweetest, goofiest soul. She’s been living in our home for the past six weeks with big dogs and little dogs, and she truly gets along with everyone. She loves to play, do zoomies in the yard, and wrestle with her buddy Wilbur in the office while I work. Her favorite daily ritual is to put her paws on my desk and check my screen—if she approves, I get a kiss. If she’s not impressed, she leans in for a hug instead. Nia is extremely affectionate and would thrive in a home with another dog for companionship. If her family is home often during the week, that would be the icing on the cake. She has a special, almost magical love for puppies—on an outing to socialize, she spotted five pups, cried to get to them, and when she finally could, she laid down gently and played with them like the most patient big sister. Because she’s still learning her manners and is a big girl, Nia would do best with older children—she sometimes forgets her size in her excitement and could accidentally knock over little ones. At night, she sleeps quietly in her crate, especially if another dog is near. When she’s crated alone, she might cry a bit before settling in—she just wants to be part of her family. Nia is still working on her leash skills and learning that car rides aren’t so scary. Homemade dog cookies are wonderful, but if you really want to win her over (or train her in a hurry), cheese is her ultimate obsession. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and one-of-a-kind companion with a heart of gold, Nia may be your perfect match. Nia is: • Fully vetted • Spayed • Microchipped • Up to date on vaccines, heartworm prevention, and flea & tick meds • Comes with a health certificate before transport Currently in Texas — Available for transport! Adoption Fee: $300 (in TX) / $550 (Out of TX, Transport Included) Apply to adopt Nia today: https://form.jotform.com/241458405075153 Bring home a friend who will check your emails and your heart—Nia’s ready to make your life a whole lot happier.
Brutus
Adult • Male • Large
Brutus, 3 years old, neutered male, Retriever mix, 80 pounds. He is currently in Akron, OHIO and is available for meet and greets. If you live outside of the area, we would coordinate a video chat. Meet Brutus – Your Low-Key, Big-Hearted Gentle Giant Brutus is a big boy with an even bigger heart, and once he settles into your home, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without him. This lovable lug has all the makings of a dream house companion — sweet, mellow, well-mannered, and a true nap connoisseur. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to be near his people (especially at bedtime), chew on a toy, and snooze the day away in a cozy spot. And while his size might say “intimidating,” Brutus is actually more “snuggly teddy bear who snores.” Brutus is fully house-trained and crate-trained — in fact, he loves his crate. It’s his happy place, especially when it’s bedtime or you’re heading out. He’ll walk right in with a peanut butter Kong and settle quietly until you return. He sleeps in, doesn’t beg for food, has zero resource guarding, and knows exactly what’s his and what’s off limits. He’s incredibly well-behaved inside the home and adapts easily to your rhythm. Brutus isn’t destructive, doesn’t get into things, and is perfectly content with a bone or a brief toy session before heading back to his favorite nap spot. His energy level? Think power nap pro. Brutus gets short bursts of playful energy — zoomies and a squeaky toy parade — but they don’t last long. A short daily walk or some backyard time is more than enough to keep him happy. Where Brutus shines most is in the home with his humans. He is affectionate, silly, independent when needed, and very smart — he learns routines and picks up on household cues quickly. He travels well in the car and loves going for rides, though he can get excited if he sees dogs out the window, so a crate or barrier might help on adventures. While Brutus is phenomenal indoors, he is still a work in progress when it comes to social skills with other dogs outside of the home. He has previously shared homes with other dogs, but is currently the only pet. His leash manners are improving, but due to his strength and excitement when seeing people or dogs, he needs a confident, strong adult handler and continued training to help him stay focused on walks. His current home has invested a lot of time on his leash work and is happy to share what works best for him. Brutus has done well with children as young as 11, but due to his size and enthusiastic greetings, we recommend a home with dog-savvy kids 12 or older. He’s still learning not to jump up when meeting new people and can bark at the door when someone knocks — another area he’s making progress in but needs continued guidance. The Ideal Home for Brutus: A quiet, low-stimulation home with adults or teens (12+) who have experience with large breeds. A fenced yard would be a plus. He does great being crated when you're out, and his mellow personality means he’ll likely nap the day away until you return. Brutus is a sweet, soulful boy who’s eager to please, easy to live with, and endlessly lovable. With a little structure and continued training, he’s going to make one lucky family very, very happy. **Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. Buddy
Adult • Male • Medium
******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. ___ Meet Buddy – your future cuddle companion and loyal sidekick! This 4-year-old, 65-pound neutered male Pit Bull mix (with a possible dash of Bulldog!) is currently thriving in a loving foster home in San Antonio, Texas, and is available for out-of-state transport to an approved adopter. Rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Houston, Buddy has blossomed into a gentle, affectionate, and easygoing pup. He underwent a routine entropion surgery (to remove excess skin from his eyelids), and it hasn’t affected his vision one bit. What stands out most about Buddy isn’t just his sweet, blocky face—it’s his calm spirit and enormous heart. Buddy is the definition of a chill, lovable companion. He’s happiest curled up beside you for movie night, lounging in the sun, or just quietly observing the world around him. He’s especially fascinated by backyard wildlife—lizards and squirrels are his thing! He’ll happily spend hours watching and occasionally giving chase, so if your yard isn’t securely fenced, he’ll need to be leashed or supervised—those critters are just too tempting to resist. While Buddy has a relaxed energy overall, he still loves the occasional burst of zoomies and playtime. He’s great with other dogs, including his current foster sibling CoCo, and has made plenty of four-legged friends during his time in boarding. His quiet curiosity and gentle nature make him a joy to have around. He’s crate-trained, rides like a champ in the car, and is house-trained (he’s made excellent progress with routine and consistency). Buddy walks well on leash most of the time, but still pulls when excited—especially if squirrels are involved—so continued leash work will benefit him. Because Buddy is likely mixed with another strong breed (possibly Bulldog), he’ll do best with a confident owner who can provide consistent structure and guidance. He thrives when he knows what’s expected of him and will reward you with loyalty, affection, and his mellow, lovable presence. We don’t have history with cats or kids, but Buddy has been friendly and respectful with new people. His calm demeanor and big heart make him a wonderful companion for someone seeking a steady, affectionate, and soulful best friend. If you're ready to welcome a sweet pup who’s all about love, loyalty, and a good squirrel chase, Buddy Boy is ready to be your forever companion. ___ ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Meet Domino – your next loyal sidekick and couch buddy! This 6-year-old, neutered male, 48-pound Pitbull Terrier mix is the total package: sweet, steady, and full of heart. Domino is currently thriving in a loving foster home in Houston, Texas and is ready to head out of state once matched with an approved adopter. And honestly? We have no idea why he’s still waiting—he’s wonderful with other dogs, gentle with small kids, and easy to love. His fabulous foster mom ran a DNA test on him and his results are: 40% Pit Bull, 23% Eskimo Dog (tail!), 17% Supermutt and 16% Staffordshire. Domino is that rare mix of playful and relaxed. He adores stuffy toys, belly rubs, and those perfect booty scratches that make him melt with happiness. He lives with a 4-year-old child in his foster home and is incredibly gentle—taking treats softly, never jumping, and happily following simple cues like “sit” and “paw,” even when a tiny human is giving the commands. When it comes to other dogs, Domino is friendly and respectful. He’s met everything from rowdy puppies to small adults and does great with calm, kind companions. He’s not overly pushy or dominant—just easygoing and polite. He’d thrive as your one-and-only, but would also do well with another chill dog in the home. Domino is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands. He’s not destructive, sleeps well on the floor or in a dog bed (but would love an invite to yours!), and is trustworthy with full house access. During the workday, he relaxes peacefully in his crate while his foster is out. He’s also a great walking buddy—enthusiastic at first, but settles into a nice pace. Whether it’s a short stroll or a long walk, Domino is up for it. Domino may be past the puppy stage, but he still has plenty of pep and personality. He’s a truly loyal, affectionate companion who’s ready to bring love, laughs, and a whole lot of heart into your life. If you’re searching for a steady, snuggly, well-mannered pup who’s great with kids and dogs, Domino might just be your perfect match. Let’s help him find the forever home he’s been so patiently waiting for. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. Redmond
Baby • Male • Medium
***Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time*** We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Redmond, 8 weeks old, male, Pitbull Terrier, estimated to be a large size when full grown. He is in a foster home in AUSTIN, TEXAS and can transport out of State one an adopter is approved. Meet Redmond – an adorable little pup with a rough start and a bright future ahead! Redmond and his brother were heartbreakingly left in a box on a woman’s porch—she couldn’t keep them, and they needed help fast. Thankfully, one of our amazing foster homes stepped up just in time and brought this sweet boy into safety. Redmond is a young, curious, and playful puppy who’s settling into life in foster care. Like most puppies his age, he’s not housebroken yet and is still getting used to the crate—but he’s learning! He loves to play with the other dogs and kids in the home and is always up for a romp or a cuddle. There are cats in the house too, but they keep to themselves, so he hasn’t had much direct interaction. Since Redmond came to us without parents, we have no way of knowing his adult size. We’re looking for a home that’s open to wherever his growth takes him—small, medium, or large! Redmond is a textbook puppy: energetic, full of life, and then suddenly passed out for a nap. He’s at the stage where he needs frequent potty breaks, consistent structure, and lots of engagement. That’s why we’re only considering homes where someone is home more than they are away—if you're gone more than 4 hours a day, Redmond isn’t the right fit. This boy will thrive in a home that’s ready to guide him through all the basics: leash walking, house training, crate comfort, socialization, and everything else that shapes a confident and well-adjusted adult dog. Raising a puppy like Redmond takes time, energy, and a whole lot of patience—but the reward is a lifelong companion who adores you unconditionally. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. Patches

___ Meet Patches — a 2-year-old, 60-pound neutered male with a charming mix of Catahoula, Heeler, and Collie. This cutie-pie is currently thriving in a foster home in Houston, Texas, and he’s available for out-of-state transport through the rescue once he’s matched with an approved adopter! Patches spent most of his life in a small municipal shelter north of Houston, where he waited patiently for over a year to find a family of his own. One of our fosters met him while volunteering and couldn’t leave without him—so Patches became part of our rescue family! Patches generally does very well with the other dogs in his foster home. He enjoys playing and running around the backyard with his canine companions, especially when it’s just one or two dogs at a time. He’s got a playful spirit and likes a good game of chase or a zoomie session once he's had time to become friends. We’ve learned that large groups of dogs can be a bit too much for Patches. He’s tried doggy daycare a few times, and it quickly became clear that the busy, high-energy setting just isn’t his style. When the wrestling and chaos kick in, Patches either retreats to the safety of staff or lets out a bark to say “no thanks!” That said, he’s very polite when encountering other dogs on leash. He stays calm and doesn’t react, showing that he can be a respectful, neutral presence in public settings. He’s not a dog park kind of guy, but if you're looking for a mellow pup who enjoys the company of a few good dog friends and knows when to take a break, Patches might be the perfect fit. Patches is a young, active dog who thrives with structure, consistency, and calm leadership. He’s playful, loving, and fun—but he also has a strong personality and benefits from clear expectations. He’ll do best in a home with a confident adopter who understands the importance of routine and follow-through. If things feel too flexible or inconsistent, Patches is quick to assume it’s negotiation time! While he generally does well with other dogs (especially in small groups), Patches can become overstimulated when too much is happening at once. Picture a chaotic backyard barbecue—kids running, dogs barking, hot dogs flying, plastic pools splashing, and another dog trying to tug him into a wrestling match—yeah, that’s a bit much for this guy. In those moments, he can become overwhelmed and needs help from his humans to decompress. That said, Patches is still a young, energetic pup who absolutely needs daily outlets for his energy. He loves having a fenced yard to zoom around in, and regular walks have been incredibly helpful—not just for physical exercise, but for building trust, confidence, and a deeper bond with his person. Patches is looking for a home that can offer a mix of activity, structure, and calm. Someone who’s not afraid to take the lead, set healthy boundaries, and give him the guidance he craves. In return, you’ll get a loyal, quirky, and incredibly rewarding companion who’s always up for a good run, a sniffy walk, or a quiet evening curled up by your side. Patches loves his crate and uses it frequently for naps—even with the door open! He’s crated at night, goes in willingly, and sleeps quietly through the evening. At one point he had a dog walker take him out a few times a week. He's really improved with his leash skills. He has met young kids (babies and toddlers). He is an intuitive guy and knew to be very slow and gentle when greeting the baby. His foster mom said it was like he just knew he had to be careful. He was happy to get pets. We have not seen him around cats, but believe he would love to chase one if he could. A cat free home would be best for this guy. Patches is a big fan of plush toys (though they don’t last long around him!), as well as balls and rope toys. He enjoys tug-of-war and would love a family that’s ready to play. He’s highly treat-motivated and hasn’t met a snack he didn’t like. He shares toys well and is fine eating near his foster sibling, though he does like to stash away his special treats to save for later—smart guy! Patches is incredibly cuddly and will crawl onto your chest or make sure he's touching you once he establishes you are his people. This guy has come a long way and we would really love to see him continue to flourish in a home all his own. __ ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. Dierks Bentley

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Meet Dierks Bentley! 1-year-old (DOB April 2024) | Neutered Male | Staffordshire Terrier Mix | ~40 lbs Currently fostered in Houston, TX and available for out-of-state transport once adopted. We truly don’t know why this sweet boy hasn’t found his forever home yet. Bentley is the kind of dog who steals your heart without even trying—he’s affectionate, smart, and growing into the absolute best companion. At around 40 pounds and likely mixed with smaller breeds, Bentley is a perfectly sized pup packed with love and personality. Bentley is a joyful, fun-loving young dog who’s left his chaotic puppy stage behind and is settling into a wonderfully balanced adult temperament. He’s playful and energetic when it’s time for zoomies and fetch, but also gentle and snuggly when it’s time to unwind. He currently lives with three large dogs and gets along great with them. He enjoys wrestling, toy-chasing, and yard exploration with his foster pack. Bentley usually respects when his buddies need space, although his enthusiasm sometimes needs a little reminder—especially when floppy ears are involved (so tempting!). He hasn’t had much interaction with dogs outside his home yet, so continued socialization will be helpful. This boy absolutely shines in a home where he gets to be part of the action—whether it’s playtime, cuddle time, or a car ride adventure. Bentley rides well in the car, walks nicely on leash (with just the occasional tug when he doesn’t want the fun to end), and is both house-trained and crate-trained. He stays calmly in his crate while his people are away and will let you know when he’s ready for a potty break or cuddle. Bentley has spent time with kids aged 5 and 9 and does well with them. He’s naturally sweet and friendly, though he still jumps up in excitement sometimes, so guidance and supervision with younger children is recommended. He hasn’t been cat-tested, so we’re unsure how he’d do with feline friends. This charming guy LOVES squeaky toys, treats, and attention. He already knows how to sit and shake and is working on learning what counts as a toy—he’s a quick study, though shoes occasionally still catch his eye. He even tolerates wearing clothes, costumes, and the dreaded cone without fuss! Bentley would thrive in an active or moderately active home—either as the center of attention or with another dog to pal around with. He’s ready to be someone’s loyal companion, couch buddy, walking partner, and best friend. Could that someone be you? Bentley is ready and waiting—tail wagging, heart open, and full of love. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
