Radar
Adult • Male • Medium
Want a people-social doggo that ADORES the people in his life? Want a boy that wakes you each morning by brining stuffies to you to get your day started right? Check, Check! Bonus: You you won't stand a chance not falling madly in love with the big eared head tilt and pouty underbite! Far too irrisistable! Radar was found tied to a post, so no history for this boy is known. Radar (named because those ears have every noise on his radar) needed a little recovery/ settle in time before he started to show his actual and adorable personality. Radar did not appear to know how to play with toys, feel confident that his next meal was coming, know how to snuggle on the couch, or that people could actually be pretty awesome. Now he is a little obsessed with getting and giving kisses and spending time near (or snuggled on) people. Radar is happy to play with his toys on his own or bring them to you for a little tug or fetch action. He has been working hard to perfect his housetraining and does not have accidents with potty breaks every 8 hours or so. He happily hops into his crate when his fosters leave for work and does a good job chewing on toys only. He has quickly learned that home life is something he wants more of! We want that for him too! If you want a dog you adore as much as he will absoutely adore you, please apply today! If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to give us a call! Adoption fee: $180 includes his neuter initial vaccines and deworming, and testing for heartworm. If interested, please submit an adoption application online via our website, www.petswithoutparents.net. Once processed, we will contact you to arrange an appointment to visit. We are happy to help you meet "the one" all 7 days of the week! Visit www.petswithoutparents.net for more information about the rescue helping this little one!
Zoie
Adult • Female • Medium
Zoie is a 1-2 year old, approximately 50 lb Australian Shepherd mix who is looking for a home that will allow her to snuggle with her family as often as possible - and also to give her lots of belly rubs, please! She may have applications in process, but is currently available. Zoie loves people and human affection and will snuggle up next to you if you allow her. She sleeps with her human every night. She is a good protector and will warn you if you have approaching visitors or unknown noises (or if she's crated while you are home) and for this reason we feel she should not go to an apartment home. She is dog selective but has gotten along with most of the dogs she has been introduced to. She needs submissive dogs if other dogs are in the home. She's great with kids and cats, is crate and potty trained. She can jump a 4 ft fence but does enjoy running around in the backyard with her foster sibling. Zoie loves taking walks, showing you her belly for rubs, and she is very smart and treat motivated. She is a very sweet and affectionate girl looking for a home with lots of love and attention to give. She has basic commands and is super smart and eager to learn more. Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only. To learn more about our adoption process and to apply to adopt, visit www.stopthesuffering.org/adopt. All of our dogs are fostered in the Columbus area and are available for adoption to Ohio residents. If you see a dog posted on social media who is not listed on the adoption application, select unknown and fill in the dog's name later in the application.
Cassie
Adult • Female • Medium
Beautiful brindle momma Cassie arrived to STS just in time for having her puppies in a nice safe place instead of the shelter. She is (best guess) a 3 year old 55 lb plott hound mix. Her babies have all been adopted and now it's her turn to find her home! She may have applications in progress, but is currently available. Now that Momma Cassie is able to spend time away from her puppies, we are starting to see her goofy puppy side. She is a very sweet girl, but is VERY shy at first so takes time to feel comfortable with new humans. Once she does, she is ready to be your loyal and faithful companion and show you so very much love. She has a harder time with men but warms up to women much quicker. Cassie loves all dogs immediately. She is very smart and immediately learned how to ring the bells to go outside to potty! She's going to make a great companion for someone in a quiet home. She would not do well in an apartment yet as she's not comfortable leash walking, so a yard with the fence is required. She will just need continued confidence work. She will need/require another confident dog in her home. Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only. STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application. Ana
Adult • Female • Small
Sweet Ana is a 5 year-old-Havanese. She is a puppy mill mama release who is learning how to be a dog and how wonderful love is. She may have applications in progress, but is currently available. Like most mill mamas, Ana is timid and it takes her some time to learn she can trust you. She gets along great with other dogs and has not yet met a cat. She will do best in a home that has a resident small dog (to help show her the ropes) and a fenced in backyard as she is currently scared of a leash. Additionally, small children may not be ideal - though she has currently not met children. She is working on house training and with someone willing to give her the time and love she needs to learn how to be a dog, she will be a wonderful companion. In just a short time in her foster home, once she felt safe, her sweet personality has started to show and she loves to be with her foster mom and does the cutest tap dance to show how happy she is. Kono
Adult • Female • Small
Meet Kono! This 35-pound, 8-month-old mixed breed is the perfect balance of playful pup and mellow cuddle bug. She may have applications in progress, but is currently available. This affectionate girl is full of love and has a few favorite things: belly rubs, playing fetch, prancing joyfully in the yard, and cuddling close with her people. She's super sweet, eager to please, and always ready to brighten your day with her happy wiggles. Kono is currently working on crate training, house training and getting comfortable in the outside world out on walks and when being left alone. She already sleeps through the night like the good girl she is. She gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine sibling to play with and learn from. She hasn't met cats or kids just yet, but she's open to new experiences with patient introductions. If you're looking for a loyal cuddle buddy who will greet you with a wagging tail and pure joy every day, Kono is your girl! Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only. STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. Annie Jo
Adult • Female • Small
Sweet Annie Jo is an approximately 7-year-old Cocker Spaniel. She is an anxious, ex puppy mill mom who takes some time to warm up, but is doing so a little each day. After 7 years of not living a life with love or people or affection, Stop the Suffering promised Annie Jo that it would be all good days from here on out. She may have applications in progress, but is currently available. Annie Jo is interested in the other dogs in her foster home, but doesn't need them to be happy. She has not yet met cats or kids, but her foster mom thinks her personality would fine fine with either. She likes affection, but will come to you when she wants it - she's still learning how wonderful it is. She loves to eat and really loves water, so she needs frequent potty breaks while she's working on potty training. She is crate trained and is overall just a sweet girl.
