Cricket
Baby • Female • Large
Cricket is a 5-month-old Golden Retriever/Siberian Husky mix with a heart as big as her puppy paws. This little lady in a tuxedo is ready to steal your heart (and maybe your snacks). She may have applications in progress, but is currently available. Looking for a pup with style and substance? Cricket rocks the most dapper black-and-white tuxedo fur you've ever seen. No need to dress up for her adoption day she's already formal wear ready! Released from a puppy mill after failing to sell, Cricket is now getting her second chance at the happy life she deserves. She is a confident little girl who is full of playful energy and puppy curiosity. She loves romping around with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. Got tennis balls? Glorious! She'll be your friend for life Like any young pup, Cricket is still learning the ropes of the world and will do best with a family who can offer her clear boundaries, consistent guidance, and lots of love. But she is smart and picking up commands fast! She's eager to learn and is already mastering crate training and is working on - and nearly there on house training! She is dog, cat and kid friendly and an A+ snuggler who is also playful, sweet and full of heart. Whether she's zooming around the yard or napping like a pro, Cricket's a perfect mix of energy and affection. Ready to add some joy (and some fancy fur) to your life? Adoption fee is $500.00 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only. STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application. Mandy
Senior • Female • Large
Oh, Mandy......Well, you came and you gave without taking (Cue Barry Manilow song!) Mandy is an approximately 10-year-old Great Dane mix. She may have applications in progress, but is currently available. Mandy is a sweet older gal. She does well with other dogs, cats and kids. She's very calm and easy going. She will nudge you with her head when she wants affection. She likes to sneak onto the couch. She is potty trained. A single floor home preferred, as stairs can be hard and we are looking to give this girl the softest possible landing place for her golden years. Mandy is overall just generally sweet, calm, easy going. She enjoys lounging with her people and walks after dinner. Adoption fee is $250 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only. STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. Honey Bun
Senior • Female • Medium
Meet Honey Bun! Her foster has been calling her Sunny, but it doesn't much matter because she's a beagle and only responds when she feels like it anyway. She is 11 years old but definitely still has some pep in her step, especially if a rabbit has been in the area anytime in the last week. A fenced-in yard would be best for her because she loves going outside and sniffing EVERYTHING. She loves her walks but doesn't get antsy if she doesn't get one. She has Cushing's disease, which makes her have to pee a lot, but she wants out so often for sniffs anyway so it's not really noticeable. She is housetrained. She gets medicine for the Cushing's as well as for arthritis but put them in a pill pocket and she's happy to take them. In true beagle fashion, she is motivated by food first, then her nose, and then her person. She doesn't show a lot of interest in toys. She'd do best in a home where people are around most of the time. She doesn't show any separation anxiety, but she is happiest when she can be near her people. Due to her age, Honey Bun would be set up for success in a home with no children, or older children. Other dogs and cats must be a little older as well. Don't adopt Honey Bun if you like personal space or having hearing in the upper register. When she's excited, she sounds like Godzilla after a large dose of helium. However, if you want a cuddle buddy who's got just enough sass to keep things interesting, Honey Bun might be the dog for you! She is so funny and sweet with lots of love to give and she deserves the very best in her later years!
Tess
Senior • Female • Small
Tess came to STS from rural KY and has been with STS several months while we figured out her medical needs and got her healthy enough for adoption. If you are a Pomeranian lover, this senior girl could be your next snuggle buddy. Tess is around 12-13 years old, 14lb and although she does have some mobility issues, she does not let that stop her from getting around. She may have applications in progress, but is currently available. Tess loves to be carried and that's a good thing since her mobility limitations mean no stairs for this girl. Tess lives in a foster home with other dogs and a cat but would be fine being an only dog or sharing a home with another senior dog or cat. She does take daily medication for low thyroid, blood pressure, and cushings and requires eye ointment twice a day for dry eyes. This senior girl is very sweet, loves to be pet, and deserves a loving home - could that home be yours? Adoption fee is $250 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only. STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue.
