Chloe
Young • Female • Medium
ABOUT ME... Hi!! My name is Chloe, I was surrendered by my owner after they were no longer able to take care of me. But that has not stopped me from accepting love from anyone that offers. I am so sweet, so cuddly, and ALL puppy. I am a little over a year old but am really coming into my personality and settling down. I live with my sweet 10 year old human foster sister (also named Chloe, that has been fun), and my 3 year old human foster brother who has been a great match for me energy-wise! I love naps, a peanut butter kong, and prancing around the backyard. I AM GREAT WITH... All people, I have yet to meet a stranger! All dogs! We haven't interacted with any cats so I am not sure what I'd think. The squirrels in the backyard keep me jumping and I lay and watch the birds all day. I am GREAT on a leash. I sit, stay, "drop it." I AM STILL WORKING ON... Kennel training! My foster mom thinks I have some separation anxiety so I do best around people. Potty training - my foster moms says I am 80% there. We've had lots of luck with a bell on the backdoor (and a goof schedule). I am also still learning which toys are mine and which are the kids. I definitely like options (equal part bone/soft toy). I AM NOT GOOD WITH... I VERY much match energy and sometimes that makes me a little jumpy! I am so excited to meet new people so sometimes my mom leashes me because I jump. I also have to be separated while my foster family is eating. It is partially the toddlers fault because he doesn't seem to care if I eat his food but mom says I beg! I REQUIRE... I am currently on Trazodone to try and help with my separation anxiety. When mom/kids are leaving me in my kennel for ANY period of time, they make a plan to medicate me. I am fine when people are around - they just worry when I am alone. VETTING... ~All animals in our care are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (age 1 & up), given preventatives, and provided with initial vaccinations AT MINIMUM. ~If booster shots have not been completed prior to adoption, they may be completed at our clinic in Columbus, OH at no additional expense. Alternatively, the adopter can use their own vet to boost vaccinations, at their own expense. TERMS & CONDITIONS... ~Adopters must reside in the State of Ohio. ~No transportation assistance is provided; adopter must commute for meet & greet. ~Meet & greets are not scheduled until there is an approved adoption application on file. ~The expectation is that you will bring your new pet home from the meet & greet, if all goes well. Please be prepared to do so by bringing a collar, leash, harness, crate, etc. to secure your new pet.
Bolt
Adult • Male • Large
Meet Bolt! This 2-year-old black and rust male with natural ears and a docked tail makes the energizer bunny, look lazy. Coming to us from an Ohio shelter, Bolt is friendly with everyone he meets. He is crate-trained, motivated by food, and displays a strong desire to learn. With consideration for his age, Bolt exhibits sporadic "puppy brain" incidents and tends to get into trouble if his physical and mental requirements are unmet. With his boundless energy, this youngster needs toys that can keep up. A favorite ball is always by his side, and he loves engaging in what feels like, a never ending game of fetch. As his physical and mental needs are satisfied, he will radiate joy and affection, snuggling up with his people. Bolt’s foster parents have been refining his leash manners during their daily walks, and gentle leader training has been a success, though he'll need a bit more support with this in his new home. Bolt lives with a female Doberman; however, he has not shown considerable interest in engaging in play with her. His priorities are straightforward, consisting of three things: his people, his ball, and spending time outside in the sun. Bolt will thrive in the care of experienced dog owners who can offer a secure adults-only household. To reach his full potential, Bolt necessitates kind, caring, and patient owners who possess realistic expectations for a youthful, energetic Doberman, and who will implement positive training techniques alongside ample age-appropriate exercise. Feline compatibility is unknown. A physical fence is required to offer a secure and optimal space for him to safely play with his ball and lay in the sun. We are currently accepting applications in most of Ohio, Southeastern Michigan, Southeastern Indiana and Western Pennsylvania. This limited area is due to our requirement for one of our experienced volunteers to perform a visit in your home as part of the adoption process. Interested in Bolt? Oso
Adult • Male • Medium
Hi I'm Oso!!! I'm what humans call a Rottie- Chow mix. My name means "bear" in Spanish. My foster mom said I looked like an old grisly bear and that now I remind her of a soft and gentle teddy bear. I think my name is so cool because it reflects both my past and my ongoing transformation and new life. My journey is unfolding every day into a story of hope, healing, and the search for a permanent place to call home. The first day of the rest of my life. On February 2nd my my foster family found me wandering around a gas station. I felt invisible. I know lots of humans saw me asking for help, but they just turned away. I started to wonder if I even existed. Then it happened I saw this person looking AT me. She moving her mouth but I couldn't hear anything. Thankfully she squatted down and was making hand gestures like she was actually calling me. I thought "Could it be possible that she actually sees me AND wants me to go to her?" She seemed friendly, so I starting walking towards her,but it took a minute. I had a very hard time moving. My legs were painfully bound by my dirty and knotted fur. Each step I tried to take hurt terribly. Regardless, I put on my most brave and handsome smile, and kept moving. Secretly, I was worried that when I got closer and she really saw me (and smelled me) she would also turn away like the others. When I finally got to her, she reached out and touched me. I know by the soft look in her eyes and the gentle touch of her hands I was finally safe. That was the moment I knew I would never have to look back at the life I bravely broke free from and desperately needed Up m forget. My past. My skeletal frame covered by heavily matted fur gives testament of a lifetime of deprivation and heartbreak. My foster mom discovered an old injury-a healed broken rib-that told her of the pains I've had to endure.. The chain hanging heavily from my neck spoke of the years I spent tied up, only dreaming of running in open fields. It also is proof that I was brave and found the strength to break away in search of freedom and a life I knew existed and wanted so badly. I am resilient. Despite my tribulations, my spirit has never waned. At heart I am youthful, reflecting the playfulness of the puppy I never really got to be. My energy manifests in bursts of joy but is quickly followed by long serene naps. What makes me truly special, aside from my resilience, is a very unique trait that captures the hearts of those I meet: One my foster family has fallen in love with from day one. My adorably unforgettable nose and a smile that's all my own! You see I have cleft lip, but it doesn't bother me I think it makes me extra special. Even my journey as a heating impaired dog hasn't dampened my spirit; instead, it's a part of what makes me.. OSO! I'm not ashamed I am proud but mostly I'm just HAPPY! Happy all the time! I have HOPE! Under the care of my loving foster home, my life has taken a turn for the better. Each day is a step towards recovery, gaining weight, and building the strength that was once stripped from me. My health, once a concern, now shines brightly with a clean bill, including a heartworm-negative status, proving that I am on my path to not just surviving, but thriving. My dream is simple: a forever home where the grass under my paws and the sun overhead are daily joys. A secure yard for my adventures, and a family that appreciates quiet companionship as much as I do. Though I might not seek out couch cuddles, being by your side, engaged in play or exploration, is where I find my happiness. The family I imagine will understand my journey, offering guidance and strength as I continue to grow-in spirit and in health. My ideal human companions will be confident and loving, ready to continue the work of building my confidence and manners, especially as I navigate my newfound interests in toys and the company of other confident dogs. I'm making my mind up about small pup and cats, but I am VERY sure I love to chase squirrels. My foster family said there is perfect permanent home for me, because I'm "the goodest boy ever." I am Oso, a survivor, a friend, and a gentle soul seeking a place where I can embrace being loved and the give gift of loving in return Hello. My name is Oso. My adoption fee is $200 locally in Houston, TX or $350 out of state (includes health certificate and travel fee). I am up to date on shots, neutered and microchipped. Triton
Baby • Male • Large
Triton  Meet Triton, a charming 5-month-old black and rust puppy with long, soft ears. Triton is more than just a visually stunning pup; he is a gentle soul with a heart overflowing with love, patiently waiting for his forever family. This affectionate, playful, and irresistibly cuddly puppy is the kind of companion who will quietly capture your heart and maybe a shoe or two (do not worry, he simply stores them in his crate for safekeeping—he reserves his chewing for toys!). This sweet boy is making great strides in his foster home. He’s picking up house training like a champ, including keeping his kennel dry overnight! He is already crating calmly at mealtimes and bedtime and sleeps soundly all night. He's learning the basic commands (he’ll sit for treats with a proud little tail nub wiggle) and he delights in all kinds of toys (especially the squeaky and tasty ones!) He’ll need some continued practice on a leash, but eagerly loads into cars for rides and travels like a dream! Triton has a wonderful ability to play harmoniously with other dogs, making him an excellent fit for a household with a confident canine companion who can guide him. With an active lifestyle and plenty of engagement, he can thrive as either a solo dog or part of a pack. Although Triton can be somewhat apprehensive around sudden noises or rapid movements, his foster family is providing guidance and support to help him build confidence. With patience and love, Triton is blossoming into the happy, trusting dog he was always meant to be. If you're seeking a loyal companion with a tender heart and a playful spirit, Triton may just be your perfect match. He’s ready to give his forever family all the snuggles, tail nub wiggles, and quiet moments of joy that only a rescued dog can bring. Please note, we are accepting applications in most of Ohio, southeastern Michigan, southeastern Indiana and western Pennsylvania. Interested in Triton?
