Scooby
Young • Male • Medium
Hi there, I’m Scooby—and yes, I’m just as lovable as my name suggests. I’m a 3-year-old, 45-pound Basenji mix with a heart full of sweetness and a goofy streak that’ll keep you smiling. I’m healthy, crate-trained, house-trained, and up to date on all my vetting: heartworm negative, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. I was saved from euthanasia at Memphis Animal Services, and now I’m ready to find my forever family. I absolutely adore people and want to be near them as much as possible. I’m silly and strong on a leash, so I could use a little help with training—but I’m smart and eager to learn. I need a home without cats as I have a strong instinct to chase them. I’m treat-protective and need slow introductions with strangers, but I’m not aggressive and I get along fine with other dogs, especially at mealtime. I’m not a jumper, and overall, I’m a well-rounded guy with a lot of love to give. I’m not big on toys or dog play—I’d rather explore, sniff, and do my own thing. But if you’ve got a hose, I’m in heaven. Water play is my favorite, and I’d be an amazing adventure buddy for hikes, boat rides, or backyard fun. I am in Paris, TN but can be transported to other states for the right home. Please note, there is a transport fee. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s already come a long way and is ready to keep growing with you, I might just be your match. Fill out an application and let’s start our journey together.
Mikey
Young • Male • Medium
Mikey’s journey hasn’t been easy, arriving at the shelter as an emaciated stray, but he’s now thriving and ready for a fresh start. When he first came in, Mikey was desperate for affection, and he quickly showed just how loving and loyal he could be. Despite his rough beginnings, Mikey’s sweet and affectionate nature shines through, and he is always eager to be close to those who offer him care and attention. He’s a playful and energetic puppy at heart, still learning the ropes of how to be the best dog he can be, which means he could use a bit of training to help him develop some good manners. Mikey is a true social butterfly who loves to play outside with other dogs, and he would thrive in a home with a furry friend or two to keep him company. His boundless energy and playful spirit make him a joy to be around, and his loyalty will make him an incredibly devoted companion as he grows. Mikey is looking for a loving home that can provide him with the structure, training, and affection he needs to become the well-rounded dog he’s meant to be. With a little guidance and lots of love, Mikey is sure to bring endless joy to his new family. Mikey is a Catahoula/pit mix who weighs 30 pounds at 6 months old. He has been vaccinated, treated for internal/external parasites and has tested negative for heartworm disease. Mikey has already been neutered. He is in Brownsville, TN but can be transported to other states for the right home. Please note, there is a transport fee.
Marvel
Young • Male • Medium
Meet Marvel! Marvel is a two-and-a-half-year-old Carolina Dog/Basenji mix from Randallstown, MD, whose essence is a vibrant burst of joy wrapped in a luxuriously tan coat. This athletic and spirited boy is ready to explore the world by your side! Marvel thrives on outdoor adventures. Whether it’s bounding through the woods on a hike, joining you for a jog, or chasing a ball, his zest for life will keep you energized. Marvel is also a clever and curious learner who loves puzzle toys and has already mastered tricks like “sit” and “spin.” With his quick mind and eagerness to please, Marvel is excited to learn even more from the right trainer or owner. Marvel has resource guarding tendencies, which means he may act protectively around food, toys, or other valued items. He has made progress with training, but his future family will need to be patient, consistent, and committed to helping him continue this work. Marvel’s adoption includes a professional canine behaviorist session to guide his transition and provide tools to support his success. With the right training and understanding, Marvel can thrive and grow into the incredible companion he’s meant to be. Marvel’s future family should also be active and adventurous, sharing his love for the outdoors. A fenced yard would be a bonus, but daily exercise and engaging activities are essential. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, Marvel would do best with a savvy owner who can manage introductions and interactions thoughtfully. Marvel is crate-trained and comfortable being alone for short periods. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, with a solid obedience training foundation and a willingness to keep learning. If you’re excited to build a lifelong bond with Marvel and are ready to guide him as he continues to grow and overcome his resource-guarding tendencies, he could be the perfect addition to your family. If you're interested in providing Marvel with a loving home, please email [email protected] for more information on adopting him! Please note that Marvel will remain with his current family until a suitable new home is found for him.
Samson
Young • Male • Medium
Hi there! I’m Samson, and I’m here waiting for someone who’s ready for a best friend with a big heart, a playful spirit, and a whole lot of love to give. I’m the kind of guy who’s always down for a good game of fetch—I mean really, I bring the ball back and everything! I get along great with other dogs and love to run, wrestle, and share my toys. But once playtime winds down, I’m just as happy to chill by your side, soaking in every bit of affection you’re willing to give. I thrive on attention, and I’ll never turn down a cuddle session. I’ve been told I’m pretty smart (not to brag), and I think I’d do great with someone who wants to teach me new tricks. I already walk well on a leash and I’m a respectful eater—if I’m not hungry, I just leave my food alone. I may not be fully out of my puppy chewing phase yet, but I do enjoy keeping myself entertained in my kennel with my toys, and I sleep soundly on rugs or in my crate when the door’s left open. I’d fit in beautifully with an active family or a person who’ll invest time in me. I just want to be close to you, make you proud, and be your loyal companion every step of the way. I am in Phenix, AL but I can be transported to the states listed below for the right home. Please note, there is a transport fee. If you think we might be a match, please fill out an adoption application. I’ll be here, tail wagging, waiting to meet you. ??
